Hey there readers, your friendly hermit of a writer - Grey - here.
I don't typically do author's notes, but I thought to change it up a bit as there's probably going to be a bit of an explanation about this particular project. This is a project that has been inspired by the premise of Legends (TNT). Drawing ideas, a loose bundle of thoughts and a couple of questions from the first season's finale, I thought to give it a shot to try and pull together a novel perhaps verging on revealing that I do like to take note of aspects of some conspiracy theories that have been floating around.
For those unfamiliar with the basic premise of the show; and for those who might need a bit of background, it follows a character named Martin Odum played by the wonderful actor, Sean Bean who works for the Deep Cover Operation department of the FBI.
I won't spoil what happens, for those who'd be interested in watching it.
Someone who flows in and out of various 'legends', infiltrating groups that are neigh impossible otherwise.
But who are they really?
So, right up my alley of interests then.
The million pound question that wrestles with the sense of identity, what makes a person and what people would do when pushed to the absolute extremes, how a person who has been living so many different lives functions in society and how people can just disappear in an age of surveillance.
I wanted to experiment, to push myself to write outside my usual comfort zone and write not just an action thriller but that of an espionage thriller. There will be some things that have been pulled from the show; ideas and concepts but the characters, the plot and the world this book encompasses will be from my own imagination.
I hope you enjoy this journey as much as I will. Please feel free to leave your comments, your suggestions and constructive criticism.
