Bright's POV:
After the gym, I went straight home washed up and slept. Tomorrow I start looking for part-time jobs, so it's gonna be a tough week.
I'm Vachirawit, Bright Vachirawit, I'm 18, in my final year of high school and well starting this year I planned to live independently. That means I live on my own. I was planning this to be a full-live-on-your-own experience but well mum was too worried and she gave me a condo.
"The least you can let me to is provide a decent home for you"was what she said.I've always been living under the shadow of my mum. My mum is a great lady. she's my inspiration, my role model and my biggest support system. She's always been an independent and strong lady. She runs the business on her own and single handedly manages the whole company. I admire her so much.
But enough of that, I thought. Since I've always lived with full protection and never known what the world outside is, I planned to live on my own.
My initial "independent-life" was planned to be at 16, but well well my mum didn't let me do that. She thought I was too young and not an "adult" who could take responsibilities. So I bargained at 16 that when I turn 18, which according to the universal adult franchise is a legal Adulthood, she'd let me live on my own. And she agreed, after months of begging. She gave me a condition that, every weekend I had to be home for dinner atleast.
And now, it's been a week since I moved out. And yesterday I enjoyed my last day of gym privilege that came out of my mum's pocket. So yeah, now I need tomanage life on my own. And tomorrow, starts my turning point of life.
I've always wanted to do this. To experience a world where I'd work on my own, live for my own sake and well Just swing with life. I wanted to see where life would take me if I didn't have my mum covering for me always.
Will I survive?
Will I make it out there ?
Will I find my path?
I need to find answers to all these questions.
The next morning I woke up early. As I opened my eyes, I could see the bright sun peeking from my window as if to tell me it's time. It's finally time that I spread my wings.
I wokeup from my bed but as I stood, I felt pain. My elbows and knee were hurting. I wondered what's wrong and checked.
Oh well yes. That guy from the gym. The little scratches I got from falling on the treadmill dried up and now that I wokeup and stretched well, the abraded skin tore up.
But alright, fine. I can deal with this.
I brushed my teeth, took a quick shower. Careful not to let the wound get much wet.
I cleaned my wound with antiseptic and applied bandaid over it.
Just to keep it safe from the dust.I had my breakfast and headed for the day.
Michova's Milk shop was my first destination.
I plan on taking up parttime jobs that pays me well, without having to sacrifice my studying hours. So I looked up some cafe's and convenience store that were looking for part time workers.
Michova's milkshop is run by a mixed thai-german family and this is a popular cafe in the neighborhood.
I was supposed to meet Mike here.I reached the shop, and saw Mike waiting for me. He's too kind. It's my trouble but he's the one here, before time.
Mike is my oldest and bestest friend. The one who's always understood me without having to say alot of things. Mike promised to tag along on my journey of "search part time job". I told him I was fine, but he insisted.
