Sorry for taking so long to get the next chapter up. But here it is. And thank you to everyone who read the first chapter, I hope that you enjoy the story.
As Emma pulls up to the mansion on Mifflin St., she feels nervous for some reason. Maybe its due to the fact that she would have to meet Henry all over again. Only this time she doesn't know if something has changed. What if he doesn't like her or something like that. She parks in the driveway and goes around to the back of the house. She looks under the flowerpot for the key. However, it's not there. Confused she makes her way back to the front. She's just going to have to text Regina to come open the door for her. Because she is not climbing the tree to try and get in the house.
As she sends the text to Regina to let her in because the key is not there, there are blue lights flashing behind her. She turns around and sees a figure walking up to her. As they come closer, she recognizes Graham.
"Ma'am can I ask what you are doing here?" He asks in a very serious tone.
"Uh. Well, I'm waiting on Regina to open the door." She says. Thinking its best to tell him the truth.
"And how do you know Mayor Mills? I have never seen you around here before?"
"Oh, we go way back. We've known each other for years. She invited me to stay for a while because she said that there is no place like Storybrooke." She tells him, hoping that Regina will open the door soon so that she doesn't have to spend the night in jail again.
As Graham went to ask her another question, the door swings open to reveal Regina in her robe. "Ah, Ms. Swan. It is about time you got here." She says, noticing the sheriff standing there she sighs internally. "Sheriff? Is there something I can do for you?"
"Well Madam Mayor, I was just on my rounds and noticed this woman looking around here suspiciously. I just wanted to make sure that you and Henry were okay." He says never really taking his eyes off Emma.
"I can assure you we are perfectly fine sheriff. I invited Ms. Swan to stay for a little while. Thank you for your hard work Graham, but as you can see, we are fine here." She tells him.
"Of course Madam Mayor. Have a goodnight." He says and returns to his car.
Emma and Regina step inside after the sheriff drives away. Regina takes her hand and leads her to the study. Once inside the room, Regina closed the door. Emma watched as she poured 2 glasses of apple cider. "I really have no idea what is going on." Regina says holding out a glass for Emma to take.
"So, Henry didn't even make an attempt to come and find me?" Emma asks taking a long sip of the amber liquid.
Regina shakes her head. "Not to my knowledge. It all seems wrong. Henry is cold and distant like he was before he found you and right after. I don't even know if he has searched you or anything."
Emma nods along to what she is hearing, trying to figure out how this could have happened. "Do you know of anyone that has the ability to send someone back in time?"
"No," Regina says "the only one that I know who has been able to do this is Zelena. However, she no longer has any magic. And what irritates me now is I don't have magic ether, and we don't know if the person who sent us back in time has evil intentions or if it was an accident."
Regina sits next to Emma and rests her head on her shoulder. Emma can't help but try and figure this out. But somehow, she just can't wrap her head around it. There haven't been any villains around in such a long time and everyone had been living a peaceful life. Why is this all happening now? It must have been caused by some accident. But if that's the case, why is Henry not doing like he should have?
