Ending What They Started ( a Percy Jackson Fanfic)

Chapter 2

3rd person POV

     -" So, you called me for a meeting because you think our mother is hiding something?" Charles asked.

     -" Not just our mom, all of the seven. Why would they send us to camp all of the sudden? It just seems weird" Nelly said.

     -" I agree, and also, mom has been in Cabin 7 the entire day" he said as the two talked on the Poseidon table.

     -" She hasn't eaten?" Nelly asked.

     -" No, you should go get her" he said and then Nelly stood up to find their mother.

     -" Mommy?" Annabeth heard a voice say for behind her say with a yawn, she turned behind her and saw Alex standing with a dagger in hand. 

     -" Hi sweetheart" she said as she picked him up, took the dagger off his hands and placed him in his big boy bunk. Once she made sure that he was tucked in, she looked outside, the sun seemed to be starting to set so she still had time until dinner to finish her research. She sat back down at one of the communal work tables and checked her lists, research, maps, she made sure everything she had researched was accounted for and all of her books organized before she put it all in her expandable duffle bag she got from a group of Hecate campers. She had to make sure none of the information was left behind so no one would suspect anything about what the seven were planning. And as she started putting the duffle bag under her bed as she heard a knock on the door.

     -"Mom?" she heard a voice she recognized as Nelly say. Annnabeth quickly placed her duffle bag under her bed and covered it with the overflowing pieces of her blanket before answering the door.

     -" Hi sweetheart!" she told Nelly who held Charles' bags in her hands " Do you need me to help you setting up your brother's bunk?" she asked but Nelly shook her head.

     -" No thanks mom, he will do that after dinner" she said, " speaking of dinner, are you coming? Everyone is already starting eating" she said.

     -" Yes! Oh my gods I totally forgot!"she said as she closed the for behind her and the two walked over to the Dinning Pavilion.

That night, Charles woke up before sunrise, grabbed the duffle bag and ran to the Poseidon cabin where he woke Nelly up and the two ran into the woods.

   -" What do you think is in here?" Nelly asked.

     -" If mom was hiding it, it must me something important. Whatever is in here might be the reason why they sent us to camp in the first place" he said as he attempted to open the bag and noticed a name lock. A name lock was an invention Leo invented so that anyone could lock anything with a lock and the only code required was the name of the person who owned it. Charles quickly wrote Annabeth on the little pad and the bag opened, revealing one singular book inside, a book titled Twilight. "Fake code, of course, mom is too smart".

     -" How do you know its a fake code?" Nelly said, still not convinced replied.

    -" Why do you think the book isn't in the mini-library? Of course it isn't, no one likes it. Mom made and enforces the rule to not have it there because she didn't like it, or that is what I overheard from mom and dads conversations" he said and Nelly laughed.

     -" I honestly thought that eavesdropping isn't your type of spying" I said but a devilish smile came to his face.

     -" Well, it seems you don't know me at all sister" he said.

    -" If you are such a master at spying, then why didn't you eavesdrop mom and dad's conversation with the rest of the seven?" she said.

     -" What makes you think I didn't?" he said.

     -" So they plan on going to the pit?" Nelly asked as Charles finished telling her all that he heard.

     -" From what I heard, that is what it seemed. The question we should be asking is why? Why would mom and dad go back there?" he said while Nelly snorted.

     -" I still find it funny that you didn't hear why they were going, only were" Nelly said.

     -" Well, I think the author need to create tension" he said while he smirked at the reader.

"Author intervention: SOMEONE BRING THE FLEX TAPE, CHARLES BROKE 4th WALL!"  

     -" What are you doing?"Nelly asked as she stared at her brother as he got smacked by a invisable force.

     -" I didn't say anything" he said.

     -" What are we going to do then?" she asked as she stared at her brother "You cant possibly think-".

     -" That is what I am thinking" he said, " There has to be a reason and I know it must have something to do with Hyperion. I need to avenge the people I wronged" he said.

    -" Don't blame yourself Charles, we might had tried to kill them but they where going to die either way, if we did anything, we gave them more time" Nelly said as she picked up the duffle bag and headed to the Athena Cabin, leaving her brother to think, where they really going to do this?
