Summary: Entrapta is reminded of her parents...
The sun shines bright on this nice afternoon in Dryl, absorbing the buildings in a beautiful orange and pink sunset. The time is a few minutes past 8, the town still busy as ever. Hordak and Entrapta had decided to move back here a few weeks after Prime's demise, and here they were. Together, happy...
Well, mostly.
Entrapta walked through the empty corridors of her castle, looking at paintings and other pictures that hung on the unpretentious walls. One in particular caught her eye as she stepped into a crossroads. Standing side by side, her younger self between them in their arms, were her parents. She missed them, so much, yet they were gone she was only an early teenager. It was quite unfortunate. She remembered the time she had spent with them, how caring they had been towards her, eachother, and her passions. Knowing this, just remembering it, brought tears to her eyes. They threatened to continue falling, which she then allowed. The occasional quiet sob escaped her, breaking the room's silence briefly.
Suddenly, a hand was placed on her shoulder, causing the princess to flinch. The hand quickly removed itself.
"Entrapta, are you alright?" Hordak asked from behind her, noting her condition. The princess shifted her gaze to look up at him, a small smile creeping to her face, which didn't last long. The portrait in her hands didn't go unnoticed by the former leader. Instead, his gaze settled on it. He wondered what importance of had to her.
"Y-yeah, I'm fine." Entrapta responded, "I was just, looking around again."
"What is that in your hands?" He pointed.
"Oh, the painting?"
"Yes. Who are they?"
"They... Were my parents." Another silent tear fell to the ground. Pity overtook the clone, his hand returning to the girl's shoulder.
"I'm... Sorry, I didn't know." He spoke, eyes closed.
"I know, it's fine." She smiled sadly, surprising Hordak, "I just... Miss them sometimes."
"Do you... Mind telling me more about them?"
The usual soft smile returned to her face as she wiped her eyes on her sleeve, looking up at him, "Yeah, I'd like that."
With that, Entrapta set the portrait back on the wall, straightening it and looking back at it once more. The two then turned away, walking side-by-side, hand in hand, chatting all the way.
"They were amazing."
