It was the last day of high school and everyone was excited, even the teachers. But there was a specific group of friends that were overjoyed to finally leave the hell hole they called 'school', "I'm so excited to leave this place for good!" Lilac exclaimed, "Yeah my cousin is coming to America for the first time so you'll get to meet her..Probably," Joanna says in a calm yet slightly excited voice."Wait you have cousins?" Aries says jokingly, he knew that Joanna had cousins but she had never really explained much about her family to them, "Yes I have cousins", she chuckled and nudged angel's shoulder.
This group of friends had been together since their middle school days, although some of them had met in their late elementary school days, they all stayed together. The group of weirdos was currently walking to their 5th-period class, Joanna and Aries were walking to P.E. while Lilac and their other friend went to science.

"So aries..school year ends today and you're still single?" Joanna looked at Aries as he was tying his shoe, "You know I have no interest in dating anyone" he sat up and looked back at Joanna, "Ugh.. your still the oblivious little shit from middle school" she groaned and rolled her eyes. "Haha very funny, and besides I'm not much shorter than you. What are you 5'4?", "5'5 actually" she sighed and got up, "come on we're playing basketball today" she winked and jogged to the middle of the gym where all the other students were. Aries sighed and quickly followed her.

It's now lunch and the group was at their lunch spot having an arm-wrestling competition, it was Joanna vs Matthew, neither of them showed any sign of losing. Then after 12 minutes of their arms going back and forth, Joanna's hand goes down, "Yes! you owe me fifty bucks~" Matthew gloated, "That's half my allowance asshole!" Joanna yelled, slapping Matthew's arm. Everyone laughed and started talking about what they would do over the summer, "So aries, found anyone that piques your interest yet~?" Madi said, nudging aries' shoulder, "No, I said the same thing to Joanna last period." Aries rolled his eyes annoyed at the question, " Whatever, but don't come to me when you start having girl or boy problems" Lilac sighed and leaned on his head, Aries groaned and pushed them off causing them to whine, "Joanna, Aries' being mean..!" Lilac cried hugging Joanna. She hugged back and rolled her eyes, "Leave him alone, then he'll stop being mean" she said petting Lilac's head.
"CAN THE SENIORS PLEASE COME TO THE AUDITORIUM..", the group cheered. The seniors had a field trip to go to the college connected to their school, though it was a good 20 miles away so they would stay there for the rest of the day then go home in the morning the next day.
They all retrieved their bags and headed to the auditorium, then after 10 minutes or so they went on the bus and headed to the college.

In the main lobby
"Welcome students to the Vistoso: mixed arts college, we hope you enjoy your stay and the tour that will begin shortly. My name is Mrs.Amante and these students behind me are your tour guides, you all will be split into 4 groups. Please introduce yourselves."
She smiled and turned to the four students behind her, "Hi! My name is Allison, and I'm a sophomore!", Allison was short with long dark brown hair and dark brown eyes, she was wearing a pastel pink crop top hoodie with light gray jeans. "My name is Alex, and I'm a junior", Alex was tall with short blond hair and bright blue eyes, he was wearing a black tang-top with blue ripped jeans, "I-i'm Jayden and I'm al-also a junior" he muttered, he was wearing a big blue hoodie with blue skinny jeans, he had long black hair pulled into a bun and deep green eyes.
Before the last person could introduce themselves the Vice-principal burst through the doors in a panic and screamed "Everyone exit the building quickly!!", unaware of what was happening the students ran to the doors but came to a stop when they saw a gray mist block the doors, seeping through the bottom on the door and creeping towards them.
Joanna grabbed aries and lilac, " To the bathrooms!" they all ran to the bathroom but aries stopped and stood there, Joanna looked at him and yelled "what are you doing!?", aries looked at her like she was crazy and said, "Are you insane that's the girl's bathroom!".
She rolled her eyes and said "Aries I swear to god if you don't get your ass in this bathroom right this second I'm gonna roast your ass in the afterlife!" she growled and crossed her arms, he sighed, "Fine..", he ran into the bathroom with Joanna and climbed out of the window and onto the roof. "Ok, what now?" Lilac asked looking at Joanna, she simply shrugged and looked around and gasped, " Shit" she cursed under her breath, the mist was all over the school grounds and on the streets, some of the mist was even coming up on to the roof, as Joanna was about the think of something she heard lilac coughing, "Lilac? You good?" She asked concerned, they didn't answer, instead, they just passed out on to the ground. "Lilac!", Joanna shouted worriedly and picked them up, shaking them lightly only to feel light-headed and passing out on top of them. "J-joanna!?" aries panicked and held his breath to not inhale the toxic mist.
He looked around to see if there was a place he could hide but never did, then he heard a voice yelling in the distance, he turned around and saw a tall figure at the end of the roof near the edge. without thinking twice he ran towards the figure only to find out no one was there. He frowned confused but gasped as he felt the ground beneath him sink in. He hit the floor hard and passed out.
