Chapter 4:Shopping

Joanna towards Eros in this chapter lmao

Aries' POV

I was currently sitting down on a rusted swing in Joanna's backyard, bouncing my knee with Veda on my lap, who was very content on trying to grab hold of my septum piercing. 

Lilac was pacing back and forth, biting their lip as we both waited for Joanna and Eros to come out, "Why is she taking so long, is she hurt? What if something bad happ-", "Calm down Lilac, Joanna and Eros can do this...I think" I held Veda's hands back gently as she continued to and grab the piercing, she whined but simply layed her head on my shoulder in defeat.

Lilac rolled their eyes, "I'm not worried about Eros, I'm worried about Joanna. Eros can turn into a fucking wolf", they were right but, Joanna was strong and knew how to fight, she had beaten every bully that came her way when we were in our freshman year.

I snorted at the memory of her bitch slapping one of the old seniors, he kept pushing and poking her and even slapped her ass, big mistake on his part to be honest. Joanna's never been one to keep her temper when it comes to people bothering her, "What's so funny?" Lilac looked at me, "You underestimate her, she's not some delicate flower you know, and besides, we both know she can fight" I pointed out, "Yes but she hates insects, especially spiders, and that things a whole tarantula" They stopped walking and sighed, sitting down on the ground.

"Maybe she'll overcome her fear?" I softly stroked Veda's head as she was slowly falling asleep, 'she must be really tired from what's happened. No toddler should have to experience this', I thought to myself. "I don't think she's exactly scared of them, more like they make her uncomfortable", I nodded.

We sat in silence for a few minutes till we heard a loud screech, me and lilac looked at each other and then at the door. As I was about to get up Joanna and Eros walked out the door, Joanna's hoodie was ripped up and eros had small cuts on his arms. We sighed in relief that no major damage had been done to them, "Sorry that took so long" joanna chuckled and walked over to me, "She fell asleep, she also really liked my septum piercing", joanna chuckled "Yeah, she likes to play anything shiny", she leaned down and picked up the sleeping toddler, slowly as to not wake her up. 

The last thing we need is a whiny kid.

"So, what now?" Lilac asked, "Well first we have to find eros clothes 'cause he's half-naked and it's making me uncomfortable," Joanna said pointing at a shirtless(and pantsless) Eros. Lilac snickered and Joanna glared at them, "We can go to the mall, but we would need a car cause it's gonna take a while to get there on foot." I added, "I can drive," Joanna and Eros said in unison, then looked at each other.

They just stared at each other, as if they were having a silent argument, then Eros huffed. "Fine, you drive." He sighed in defeat, Joanna smirked and walked to the gate, leading out to her drive-way, We all followed her out and in front of her garage. She pressed a button and the door started to slowly lift, revealing a black Buick Regal, She walked up to it then stopped. "My mom's keys are in the house" she groaned and turned around going to walk back but I stopped her, "I'll do it" I smiled softly, she looked at me then nodded.

I then turned and walked to her-or what used to be- front door, hopping on the rubble to get inside. Once I set foot on solid ground I made my way back to Ms.Watson's room, or well, Joanna's (dead) mom's room. I walked in and looked around for her keys, I saw them on the ground, under her mother's corpse, I groaned and made my way over there kneeling down and quickly picking up the keys once they were within my reach. I sighed in relief and quickly walked out of the room, not wanting to be in the house anymore. 

I made my way to the door but I stopped when I saw Eros waiting there, "Eros? What are you doing here?" I asked, he looked at me and smiled softly, "Sorry uh, let's just say me and your friend don't get along that well", he scratched the back of his neck and smiled bashfully. I chuckled and nodded "Yeah, joanna doesn't take kindly to new people, she'll warm up to you...I hope" I muttered the last part but Eros had heard and gulped, I walked up to him and patted his chest, "Don't worry, she may be intimidating at first, but she's really nice once you get to know her", I gave him a 'please believe me' smile and walked back to the garage, Eros following close behind me.
