Life was chaotic not just at Firehouse 51 or Chicago for that matter, the entire world had been thrown into chaos. A new disease was ravaging the world and there didn't seem to be an end in sight. One couldn't help but wonder if this is how all of the past pandemics had been like this in some sort. Things were changing in how the Firehouse responded to calls, the paramedics had to wear N95 masks to every call. If firefighters also responded, they too had to wear masks.
But that's not what this story is about, because Stella Kidd has found her world turned upside down. While she had felt drained from burning the candles at both ends, doing shifts along with the work Boden had nominated her for and doing Girls on Fire. She finds out that there was a reason she was feeling so drained, Kelly had talked about growing old and being surrounded by our grandchildren. She thought it was a little weird at first because she wasn't sure they were there yet. But when she thought about it, they have been through a lot together. But this is bigger than anything they've faced before...
