{Mike's POV}

I woke up to a text from Harvey at 7:00 am. I yawned as I made myself a cup of coffee. I sat down with my coffee and responded to his text.

I put down my phone before hopping in the shower and brushing my teeth.
I got out and dried myself before picking out a dark blue suit with a similar shade tie to match. I finished my coffee and gathered up the required items I needed to go to work.
I walked straight to Jessica's office when I had arrived at the office. I knocked on the glass door gently. She looked up from a document and gave me permission to come in.
"Hi Jessica, Harvey just wanted me to tell you that he won't be in today," I explained.
"Did he say why?" She asked. I thought for a couple of seconds, trying not to get Harvey or myself in trouble.
"He said he was taking a sick day," I answered somewhat confident in my response. I walked out of her office before going back to my cubicle to get back to work.

I worked for the rest of the day taking the occasional coffee break. I got my work done and once again gathered my stuff before taking a taxi to Harvey's. I knocked on the hard wood of his door lightly and waited. He opened the door shortly in casual clothes. He looked slightly surprised to see me.
"Mike? What are you doing here?" He asked smiling slightly. He had a red nose and had a blanket wrapped around him.
"I'm here to take care of you and I don't care if you want it or not," I explained. He gave a look of acceptance before letting me in. I placed my bag on the floor before making sure Harvey got back into bed.
"Did you come straight from the office?" He asked, looking up at me as he lay on his bed; getting comfortable. I looked down at him and smirked.
"How can you tell?" I asked, putting my hands in my pockets.
"You're still wearing your suit," he answered.
"Feel any better?" I asked after a minute or two of silence. Not necessarily awkward silence but enough for me to want to change the topic.
"I guess..." he answered. He looked off to the side as he spoke, breaking eye contact.
"How come only guess?" I asked, tilting my head. He shrugged and sat up. I left the room to make him some soup to help with his sickness. I grabbed a can of soup along with a can opener out of my bag, already assuming he hadn't had any at his place.
After making it to perfection I handed the bowl to Harvey with a spoon. He flashed a quick smile. He moved over and pat the bed. I sat next to him and took my shoes off tidily so I could cross my legs.
"How was work?" He asked as he slurped his soup.
"It was... Different," I answered trying to word it accurately.
"Different? How?" He asked, blowing on his soup gently.
"You weren't there. It was more boring I suppose," I explained. I could see Harvey hide his smiled behind the soup.
"So, why did you decide to come look after me?" He asked.
"To tuck you in and read you a bedtime story," I joked. He scoffed.
"Really though, why was coming to look after me your first priority over going home?" He asked.
"You're my friend, Harv, I care about you more than a house," I answered. I stared into his eyes, losing my own thoughts for a second before snapping out of it.
"You haven't slept and you've been working all day," Harvey stated. I nodded.
"I know, can I sleep on your couch?" I asked.
"I can't do anything even if I say no," I smiled and nodded lightly. I took his bowl in the kitchen and put it in the sink. I stumbled upon a letter, I read it with curiousity and heard Harvey call me before I could finish.
"Mike!" He yelled, "come here!" I stopped reading and walked into the bedroom. "What's wrong?" He asked.
"I saw the letter," I said. I felt pain fill my chest.
"Mike-" he started. I looked at him.
"When were you going to tell me? Or were you just going to give me the letter?" I asked.
"I was going to tell you, I just-" I cut him off.
"When?" I asked. A tear fell and I wiped it away as quickly as it had came.
     "Soon, I just needed-"
"No, Harvey! When the hell were you going to tell me my girlfriend broke up with me?!" I yelled as more tears fell that I didn't care to wipe. He didn't have an answer.
"Mike, please come and sit down..." He asked. I let out a heavy breath before sitting next to Harvey on the bed. He held me close. I cried lightly into his shoulder as I hugged him. He hugged back to comfort me. We soon fell asleep, cuddling.
