Chapter 4
~Natsu POV~
Natsu was all alone in a huge room. It was pitch black. He was tied up and suspended in the air. There was a mixture of sweat and blood on his forehead, he felt tired and pain beyond measure, making even the slightest of movements hurt. It was as if he had been hit by a train. The silence was killing Natsu and then he remembered . . .
*flashback*
Natsu had been travelling alone in a more sinister part of Magnolia's forest. The brilliant sun was standing in the blue sky, but the dense branches of the tall trees were not allowing the slightest of rays to pass through. It was as if this part of the forest had decided to declare a war against the sun and all that was beautiful. Where there were previously flowers, now grew thorns.
Just as Natsu was registering all this he heard leaves being crushed by some presence. His heart raced. He tried to catch the scent of whatever it was . . . but there was none. Natsu at once straightened his posture, his ears stood at attention, he had been in enough fights to know that whatever it was, was encircling him. And it was fast. That moment there was a brilliant flash of light in front of him. Natsu too attacked with a volley of fireballs in that direction. He at once realized this was a distraction and that he had left his defense open. Whatever it had been took Natsu out in one kick.
*end of flashback*
