Night, oh night
Wanting to go further with every moon
Further with every phase
With limited days
Until we perish and become the Earth as we know it.
Until we reach the high heavens and sing with the angels.
But right now, right now is the time to live
The time to strive,
The time to live
Until the time we die
Until the time we go into the grave
Or sink in the waves
And go into the dirt.
Right now we will look up at the moon
The waxing and waning moon
The light and dark
The yin and yang
The good and bad
But, someday, the world will stop spinning
The winners will stop winning
The sun will dim and the globe will freeze.
Let's make this night the best night of our lives
We don't know when it will be our last
Tonight is our night to shine
Because time goes by very fast.
So make it great.
