Elliot POV

"Very good Elliot!" Shouted my trainer as I was floating on my own inside the zero gravity room. "Remember to stay calm and try going through the obstacles without rushing!"

The gravity room had several small obstacles like giant hoops and several large boxes. Apparently my training was to try and maneuver myself around the objects without getting hit by one of them. Ratchet wasn't with me this time.

Ever since the Autobots returned from their mission, they had been in meetings. Ratchet had to stay at base in order to heal the team from their injuries. Lennox had to assign six soldiers to guard me and to keep an eye on me as I trained in the NASA facility. Being stared at by strangers wasn't helping with my motivation. It was nerve wracking.

Come on Elliot... Focus...

I had been training for 5 hours straight and I literally began to feel my legs going numb. Thankfully, the obstacles were enough for me to move my legs around to not feel any discomfort.

As soon as I went through the obstacles and finished my training, I was let down safely to the ground where a medic was waiting for me to check up on my symptoms.

When my feet touched the floor I immediately leaned against a wall to gain balance. The medic ran up to me, touching my legs and asking if I had any pain. The medic made me sit down on the ground so I extended my legs out. The medic began to instruct me to do a small leg exercise where I slowly moved my legs in and out, as if I were a baby barely trying to do the criss-cross applesauce.

While I did my exercises, a large shadow loomed over me. Thinking that it was one of the instructors, I ignored it, until they spoke.

"You've done well." A baritone voice congratulated me.

I quickly looked up to see Optimus' holoform smiling down at me, "O-Optimus!? You're here!?"

I got up too quickly that I felt myself clumsily lose balance and nearly fall face flat until Optimus wrapped his arms around my waist.

"Easy. You mustn't move too fast while your legs are still adjusting." He smiled.

I groaned and sat back down on the ground. Optimus squatted next to me, and rested his hand on my back, "Why are you here? Don't you have important meetings?" I asked.

"The briefings of the mission have been done. So I decided to come and pick you up." Optimus replied.

"You didn't have to! You could have stayed at base to rest! The soldiers Lennox sent for me could have taken me back." I said, seeing how Optimus' eyes looked extremely exhausted.

"You don't want me here?" He asked.

"I never said that! I just feel bad that you came straight here instead of resting first!" I argued.

Optimus chuckled lowly, "I wanted to come. I wanted to see you." He looked towards the medic who was writing down several notes on a tablet, "Is Elliot healthy enough to move?" He asked.

The medic smiled and nodded, "Yes she is, she just needs to promise she won't immediately run a marathon." The medic smiled.

Optimus nodded in understanding and suddenly picked me up bridal style.

"Wha- I can walk!" I yelped, subconsciously wrapping my arms around his neck to not fall.

"You heard the medic." Optimus smiled.

I pouted, "He only said that I shouldn't run." I pointed out.

"I know." I noticed Optimus' reply smugly.
