Having dinner with the Brooks was so interesting. I didn't feel like a stranger or a guest I felt like I was one of them. Luke was surprisingly normal, there was no cocky behaviour, this coming as a shock to me since I thought he was an annoying prick 24/7. Apparently not. (ifuguyshaveseentheapparentlykidplztellmexD)
After dinner I helped tidy the table and wash the dishes even though Sarah insisted I don't do anything.
I finished doing the dishes silently with Luke, it was not awkward in any way it was comfortable silence. He would wash them and I would dry them. Once we finished Luke was the first to break the silence.
"Mum told me to show you the guest bedroom," he said shyly looking downwards. I furrowed my eyebrows, since when was Luke ever shy?
"Yeah, sure." I smiled up at him reassuringly "Lead the way Brooks."
He led me upstairs, past a few doors and opened the last one on the right. The room was mediums sized with warm coloured walls, a twin bed was situated in the middle, with two night stands on each side and on the wall was a big abstract painting.
"There a bathroom through that door." Luke started off, "I can lend you some clothes to sleep in if you would like. If you need anything my room is across the hall." I smiled at him. "Alright I guess I'll go get the clothes," he left the room only to return again a few minutes later with a pair of sweats and a t-shirt and handed it to me. "Here you go," he smiled at me.
"thank you."
He remained standing at the door way, I looked at him "is there anything else you needed to tell me?"
He looked as if he wanted to tell me something but the stopped "Um.. no." He turned to leave but quickly turned back around. "Actually it's still quite early do wanna come over to my room?" I looked at him in shock. HoweasydoeshethinkIam? I think Luke realised what he quickly shook his head "no,no, no that's not what I meant." he rushed out nervously.
"Then what did you mean Brooks?" I asked defensively. Especially after what happened early on, and now he's trying to get in my pants! unbelievable. What happened to the shy, cute and caring Luke that I was with a few minutes ago?!
"I meant like:hanging out! Gosh Emily, I can't believe you'd think I'd take advantage of you like that!"
He was mad. Like stormed out of the room across the hall to his own. I stood there shocked. Why did I do that?! "Stupid. Stupid Stupid!" I whispered to myself. What do I do? Gotalktohim. But what if he hates me?Just apolagise! Stupid inner voice.
I got changed and head towards Luke's room. Justknockthedoorandsaysorry. It'sthatsimple. I knocked on the door and there was no answer I sighed,cause I half expected that.
"Luke?" no answer "Luke its me Emily." ofcourse it'syou, youdumbairhead. "Can I come in?" no answer. I took that as a yes. So I entered, he sat on his bed throwing a ball up in the air and catching it but, what really caught my attention was the fact that he was only wearing tracksuit bottoms. I guess I was staring too long because I was interrupted by his voice."What do u want?"
I was so destracted by his sexy body that I almost forgot what I came here for. GetatripEmily. "Oh, I-I wanted to say that I'm sorry for what I assumed before." he kept staring at me "and..um.. I shouldn't have thought you were capable of such thing especially since what had happened earlier today. I mean I didn't mean to offend you and should have been smarter then that because you're not like that, your a nice guy and I trust you enough not mean me any harm."
I finished off and looked at the ground. There was a long silence until Luke decided to speak. "So you think I'm a 'niceguy'?" I looked at him in astonishment.
"Out of everything I said right now you only heard that? Unbelievable!" I trued to seem mad but then cracked up laughing and Luke soon laughing along with me.
"So what do you say?"
"hm?" I hummed in confusion.
"You want to hang out? I've got movies we could watch on my laptop."
I thought about it for a second. "Sure," He smiled at me happy with my answer. He walked over to the cupboard filled with movies.
"Pick one and I'll be right back with some popcorn." He ran out of the room. I looked over at the movies.
"Action..action..horror..action...action..horror." I sighed does this guy not watch anything else?
I looked through them again and settled for transformers.
A few minutes later Luke returned with a bowl of popcorn, 2 cokes and a pack of gummy bears.
I grinned widely at him. Reaching out my hands I grabbed the gummy bears from him, and ripped the packet open and stuffed my face with gummy goodness, moaning in the process.
Luke stiffened besides me seeming uncomfortable. "Don't do that."
"Do what?" I asked innocently.
"You know what." He pointed.
"No, I really don't." I teased.
"Would you like me to demonstrate?" He got closer to me.
My eyes widened "Oh no. It fine, I get it now." I stuttered and blushed a deep red. Luke just chuckled.
The night continued with us watching the movie... well actually with me complaining that the movie sucks cause you can never tell which alien robot belonged the autobots or the decepticons. To which Luke said it was obvious and that the autobots are the ones defending the humans.
"Defending my ass. They're destroying and entire city and by the way killing other humans. I mean for gods sake take your alien robot ass and go somewhere else."
Luke chuckled "Ok, relax it's just a movie."
"A dumb movie." I mumbled.
When we finished the movie it was way past midnight. "I think I should go." I say getting up.
"You don't wanna stay." Luke wiggled his eyebrows.
"Luke Brooks! Are you trying to seduce me into sleeping with you?" I said in mock shock
"I don't know, is it working?"
"Nah." I chuckled
"Damn!" He mumbled in disappointment and laughed.
"Goodnight Luke. Thanks..For everything you did today." I was about to leave when he pulled me in to a hug.
"Goodnight princess." He kissed my for head and let me go.
I went to bed feeling content, Luke is on my good side and I'm starting to like him. No Emily you can't that's not the plan!!! The thing is though I don't think I want to follow the plan anymore.
