Y/N's POV:
It wasn't the most comfortable way to eat, sitting at the end of a table with Daddy next to me, Marcus to my right, Caius at the other end of the table, and Jane and Alec to my left, far away from me. It was deadly quiet, and six eyes looked at me with an empty meaning; only madness and anger were facing me. I regret the thing I did to make my parents mad. This is terrible.
"How was your day, Jane?" Aro now smiled unbothered at her, acting like nothing was wrong and clearly ignoring the tension that had been built up in this one room. "It was good until the order was ruined." She turned to face me. Can't she just stop? This makes me feel mad, and I don't like getting mad. "Well, I could say the same thing; it was just a plan that failed miserably." Caius followed, sitting deeply on his throne with a knife in his hand and rotating it through his fingers. I stood up; I was done with this.
"Just because you guys wanted me here for reasons I don't know and the plan failed doesn't mean I should be mistreated. You guys won't tell me why I am exactly here, nor will you tell me what happened or why you guys don't like me anymore! If you want to hate me, hate me, but give a fucking reason!'' I screamed at Caius, Jane, and Alec, clearly seeing how shocked they were by my angry statements. I only heard Daddy and Marcus snicker.
"You want a reason, you little arrogant shithead? Well, we thought you would be the perfect weapon since you killed animals even when you were human with only your mind! That power would've been way stronger as a vampire. You told your stupid mother, who thought you were a witch, you would have been burned alive if we hadn't come to your rescue! The moment you came here, it turned out you only remembered your 10th birthday, which isn't much since you are actually 14 years old!''
Marcus's POV:
You could see Y/N's eyes open, shocked, and you could feel right through it because she didn't understand how Caius could come up with such a story; it was too complicated and said so easily that it almost couldn't be a lie, how she wished it was.
"That's why we will teach you because since you don't age anymore, it will just take a little before you're back to your body's age. It wouldn't be a problem, right, Caius?'' Aro said, looking forcefully at him. He couldn't say anything; Aro finished him with that one sentence since it really wasn't a problem. We just had to learn her stuff, which I would do. For Caius, nothing changed, only an extra member of the Volturi, of which we have at least one every year.
At least that's what you would think was the problem. For Caius, it was deeper than that. He looks ruthless and thinks that way, but he is scared to have a close bond with someone so vulnerable. A child, ten years old in her mind, walks around, getting used to the fact that the leaders are her family. Caius is scared that she might get too close to him, since the bond from that ending was already created. Caius developed feelings for the child because her mouth was quite large for a ten-year-old and her eating style was so interesting and entertaining to watch that he tried to deny his feelings for her, feelings of care. It would be a matter of time until she broke through him.
"What do you mean, you wanted to change her for power, and she killed animals without even touching them?" Jane was suspicious, fearing the truth that she was no longer the highest. "The meaning behind that sentence is exactly all of the sentence. She possesses your power, yet the physical version; not even a shield can protect itself from her.'' Jane stood up and walked away, and the anger that came out of even her ears was seen.
"Don't worry, Y/N, she just doesn't like the fact you're more powerful." "I will only be higher than her if I have controlled it and know how to work with it, Aro. I will only do so when I understand it." She replied cleverly, with dominance in her tone; she was one of a kind.
''But what are we exactly eating? I thought vampires couldn't eat human food," Y/N again questioned. Caius snickered. ''I guess you won't eat the food we have ready either since you killed around twenty meals a few hours ago.'' He deepened his seat in his chair, clapped his hand to the other, and not even a second later, a female human walked up to him, sitting on his lap. He waves her hair away and slices his teeth through her skin while she loudly moans. Always the same thing with him.
Y/N looked at the show that was set up for everyone to watch, not understanding what was going on. She seemed intrigued by the woman's act, as if she likes what's going on; she only knew they'd scream when they got drunk. Aro clapped his hands as well, and a human male approached Y/N. I knew the show she'd create would be different than Caius'.
Y/N's POV:
I was intrigued by the blond man when he walked up to me; it looked like he wasn't scared at all. Why not? "He's compelled; you can stop it if you want," Marcus explained as if he had heard my thoughts. I looked him in the eyes and told him that he was now free from the command that had been given to him. He opened his eyes and looked around, confused.
"Where am I?" he asked the rest as he looked around. "It doesn't matter where you are." I shortly answered. I showed off my red eyes and fangs while I walked up to him, slowly caressing my fingers from his chest down. I looked up. "You have five seconds to run, then I will go after you. If I catch you, you're dead; if you escape me, you will live." The moment those words came from my mouth, he ran away from me in fear. It can't be that bad to play with my food, right? No one told me I wasn't allowed.
After five seconds, he wasn't even out of the room, so I jumped on his back, ripping apart his neck as he screamed from pain, stuck my teeth into him, and drank him down, leaving the body alone on the ground and walking to my seat again. "You have a dirty mouth, dear." Daddy smiled as he cleaned it with a white cloth.
Caius's POV:
I think I will take a liking to her.
