Farm Romance

Chapter I

It's 9am and I'm trying to get all my stuff sorted for the "big move"

"Kay are you almost finished,there almost here!"

"Yeah mom I'm just double checking."

"While your at it I want to be outta here by next year." She says sarcastically

"Okay sarcastic Susan." I tease her

Me and my mom have a love hate relationship with each other...

"Come on Kay its 9:25"

"Coming!"

Okay, so I have everything ready and packed, and I just need to get all this stuff downstairs. That
alone will be quite of a challenge itself...

Suddenly I hear a hoot downstairs. There here! There finally here, I don't know what to expect but I have a good feeling about this.

"Mom,can you mabey just help me with the luggage?It's a bit  heavier than I thought.

"Okay,so just get the things downstairs into the truck."

"Okay mother.. I'll try" I say and  laugh

A few minutes later...

"Did you get everything?"

"Yes mother...Now can we go or what?" I smile

"Yeah okay."

She waves her hand at the middle-aged man that's driving the truck and he takes off.

Me and my mom gets into her white Chevrolet and follows the truck.

"So... what's the first when we get there?" She asks and I roll my eyes

"Well as my mother taught me a pleasant girl always  greets first." I say with sarcasm

"Yeah go on... I heard there's a boy there you age." She says and winks then lifts her brow up and down in a suggestive way.

"Mom... What did I told you?"

"No boyfriend. No problem." We both say at the same time and she rolls her eyes

"I heard his name is Henry." She says

"Mom!"

"Okay,calm down." She says and laughs and I can't help but laugh as well

After 3 hours of driving...

We're driving into this massive yard with a couple of house's and a bunch of animals at the back

"Are you ready for a new beginng?" My mom asks

Back at the old house the bank foreclosed the house after my father left us with nothing so we had to move.

"Let's hope so."

"Inhale...Exhale..."

I take a deep breath before climbing out of the car. I see my mom climbing out and heading towards the truck.

"Let me help you." I say with a smile

"Thank you." She says and smiles back

As I take out the boxes if the truck I see a woman heading towards us..She looks in her late thirties but I can't argueshe does has nice hair. An overall blonde with curls while I just have my black hair in a ponytail.

"Hi. I'm Alice Jones but just call my Alice. I'm the owner of the farm." She says with a huge smile on her face.

"Hi. I'm Molly and this is my daughter Kay-Lee!" My mom basically shouting with a more brighter smile

"Nice to meet you Kay-Lee."the woman says

"Nice to meet you too." I say with a half smile on my face

"Let me help you guys unpack the truck then you all can meet everyone!"

"That would be nice,thank you!"

About 30 minutes later...

"It looks like were all done!" Alice says

"Yeah we can't wait to meet everyone!" My mom says and looks at Alice and then at me

"It's not to late to have a 'meeting lunch' so let me get get everyone together." She says and smiles again

I like her so far but I don't like when people smiles all the time,it just makes me think that they may be fake...

I dress in something more comfy, a t-shirt and a pair if jeans will do. I brush my hair and let it lay loose...

About 10 minutes later...

"You ready sweety?" My mom asks while she slides her fingers through my hair

"Yeah."

We walk outside to the table and I just see a bunch of people sitting there

"Oh good, just in time. I want you to meet my son Henry." Alice says

I looked at my mother and just smile at her while she smiles back.

"Henry!"Alice shouts into the house that i assume is their's

"Coming Mom!"

Suddenly my mom is elbowing me and tries to give me a sign to look back

As I look back I see a tall attractive boy walking out of a house...
