Farm Romance

Chapter II

As much as I do find him attractive,I should remind myself that I don't date.

Walking toward his mother I caught his eye and he smiles,but when he realised that I noticed he looked away

"Henry,I would to introduce you to our new neighbour. This is Molly."

"Pleased to meet you, I'm Henry."

"Pleased to meet you to!" She says with a smile

"And you are?" He asks while looking at me

"I'm Kay-Lee" I say nervously and blushed

"Well it's pleased to meet you too." He says and gave me a shy smile

It looks like he is a bit shy but tries to hide it. I actually find that very cute. Oh no... Oh no Kay-Lee. Stop it! No time for boys remember... Focus on your study's and don't get side tracked!

"Please take a seat and make yourselves comfterble. Hope you're all hungry!" Alice says

"Well let's dig in!" A man shouts  that sits at the table

"Lucas! Where is your manners?" Alice says to the man

"Yeah that's my dad. Always digs in first..." Henry says and glances at me

"Henry!"Alice shouts

"Mom,I was talking to Kay-Lee."

He remembered my name... He actually remembered my name! Geez Kay-Lee what has this boy done to you

"Oh, I thought that you were encouraging you father." She says and half laughs

"I'm sorry... I'm Lucas, Henry's dad and Alice's hubby..."

"Thank you!" Alice says in a 'I rest my case' way

"Wel let's 'dig in' shall we? I'm Harry Smith by the way." An other man said

I see that my mom suddenly gave her attention to 'Mr. Smith'. Maybe my mom is ready to move on from my dad. But I can't argue,the man does not look too bad. He has no facial hair and black hair with green eyes.

"The food is very good Mrs. Jones!" I say after taking a bite from the apple pie that I can taste is home made

"Oh please just call me Alice. Well I'm glad that you enjoyed the pie."

"Okay... Alice." I say and laugh and she laugs back

"Do you need help to unpack?" Henry asks while looking at me

"Yeah sure." I say akwardly and take another bite of the delicious pie

"Do you want to get started?" He asks

"Okay sure." I say and stand up and thank Alice for the pie

Meanwhile...

"So, this is my room. It may look a little messy now but it's just because of all the boxes and suitcases."

"No it's fine." He says and smiles

"What, is there something on my face?" I ask

"No. It's just I'm glad that there's someone around here my age!"

"How old are you?" I ask couriously

"I'm turning 18 next month, you?"

"I'm turning 18 next month!" I say and started to laugh

"What day? Mine's July 15th"

"July 14th." I say. Then we both started laughing

After 20 minutes of unpacking..
