IN MY FEELINGS

Chapter One

"You don't really believe that, do you?" Madison asked Elsie with a curious look on her face.
Madison is a seventeen year old girl in High school. Okay, her mom was rich but not as rich as Grisilda, the most famous and prettiest girl on campus. Maddy, as everyone called her, was Elsie's bestfriend.
"What do you mean by that?" Elsie asked and started to walk away.
"Elsie don't be stubborn, you know that guy, like why in the world will he fall for you?".
" Excuse me? Maddy what are you insinuating?. You're suppose to be happy for me but it seems you're not and you are not going to be. See you later" she walks away.

Edwin was a rich guy. His parents were rich. He was among the richest first class kids in school. Ed, as everyone called him was the leader of the basket ball team in Georgio High school.

" Maddy, why that look huh?" You look as if you've been bitten by a snake "Carl laughs. He was about to crack another joke when he saw that Maddy was not in the mood.
" Maddy, what's wrong?, why that face?".
"It's Elsie, she's stubborn, I just want what's good for her, that guy is just going to play with her feelings".
" Who and what are you talking about, take it slow, I want to get it".
"You know Ed right?".
" Yeah, who doesn't? ".
" He proposed to Elsie, I know that he just wants to make fun of her, he's going to dump and humiliate her".
"You think he's not into her?".
" Of course not, that guy is not into any body, he just deceives them with his cute looks, he's a jerk".
"Well, I think Elsie is just overwhelmed, she'll probably get over it".
" I hope so".

Elsie was on her bed busily doing something on her phone when Maddy entered.
"Hi" Maddy said and sat on her bed.
"Hi" Elsie says back without taking her eyes off her phone.
"Elsie you don't really think I'm against your happiness, do you?".
" Not this topic again "
"But Elsie,...".
" Maddy you are my best friend, we were suppose to be happy and jump around screaming and making a lot of noise because I'm about to date Edwin Alonso".
"Oh God"Maddy looks in the sky with an " is she going crazy " look on her face.
"Elsie what is wrong with you?, Ed is always hooked up with Grisilda, what on earth makes you think he's going to dump her and come after you?".
"He told me he will".
" Elsie don't say I didn't warn you".

"Ouch sorry," she doesn't even look up and continues to walk.
"Hey,where are you going? Won't you even stay to talk".
"I'm in a hurry" she looks up for the first time.
"I've never seen you here, you're pretty you know"Jessy says with a flirting tone.
"Thank you" Rayna smiles and turns to leave.
"Wait, you seem to be in such a hurry".
" Yeah, I told you I was".
"I just want to talk"
"I'm listening" she walked on and he followed her.
"Are you a student here?" Rayna looked up with a sarcastic look on her face.
"Yeah I'm a student here" she takes in a deep breath and stops walking.
"Okay, it was nice getting to talk with you, er, Rayna right?".
" Yeah"she walks away.

"She's pretty"Jessy says to himself after she left.
" Buddy"
"Jessy" Ed calls Jessy but he is still lost in his thoughts of Rayna.
"Jessy!" He pats him on the shoulder.
"What?!" He turns to see Ed. "Damn, buddy you scared me".
"What the hell are you staring at?" He looks in the hallway and sees nothing. "Tell me" he insists.
"It's nothing, I was just thinking about the maths test we had"
"Let me guess, you had an F"Ed teases.
" What? Of course not. I had an E, E8, you get me?".
Ed laughs and they head to the cafeteria.

"Hello handsome" Grisilda walked towards Ed and held his hand.
"Yeah pretty".
"Let's sit".
They sit. All this while, Maddy stared at them and felt disgusted.
" Who does Edwin Alonso think he is. He's lucky Elsie is not here. I just want her to know he's a jerk" she says aloud.
"What did you say?" Carl asked.
"Er nothing".
"See you soon hunnie"Maddy says to Carl and head off for her dorm.
Carl and Maddy had been friends since childhood. They lived in the same neighborhood and grew up together. Carl was somehow girlie so the guys didn't really like hanging out with him. They sometimes made fun of him but he cared less. He loved hanging out with Maddy and Elsie.
