Mia's mother's beaming voice woke her up, after a long night. "Ugh..." Mia groaned groggily and woke up from her extremely hot blankets. "Why is it so hot in here?" Mia's arm went to scratch her head, when she noticed, she had paws. "Fuck... Why now? Well, might as well see what I can do in this awfully itchy form." She turned into her human self and slowly walked down the stairs, seeing if anyone was there. Then she quickly ran outside into the forest, transforming into her wolf form. She trotted deeper into the forest, the almost frozen mud feeling like nothing with her big fuzzy wolf paws. "Well, I guess that's a perk." She looked around and saw a deer, just standing there eating the frosted grass. She digged her claws into the cold mud and got ready to pounce. "1, 2,3..." Mia whispered. Pounce! Her long claws digged deep into the deer's rear, clawing it's flesh. The deer kicked Mia's jaw, but she was able to bite its neck.
"It's hunting season Harper!" Harper's dad's voice boomed near the forest. "Yeah, I know pops." Harper grabbed her dad's gun and walked into the forest. "Ah, a deer!" Harper whispered and got ready to shoot. Mia's ear curved when she heard a gun cock, and then BOOM! Mia was shot in the thigh and fell to the ground next to the deer. "I shot something!" Harper ran deeper into the forest and saw what she shot. "Shit. I shot a wolf!" Harper went into her bag and grabbed bandages and wrapped the wolf's thigh in bandages. While the wolf was unconscious, Harper petted her fluffy neck fur. As the wolf woke up, Mia transformed into a human. "W-what?" Harper gasped. "Are you ok?" Harper tucked Mia's hair behind her ear. "Grrr... Huh?" Mia quickly sat up and looked at her. "Once again, are you ok?" She demanded. "Uhm, yeah. Ow-" Mia held her hand over the wound. "Here-" Harper pulled Mia up and held her. "I'll bring you to my house." Harper plopped Mia on her bed and gave her pillows and blankets. "Why are you being so nice?"
"Well, I shot you and there are no hospitals near by Soo... I'm going to get you something to eat."
