it's my first week in LA and I'm finally settled in from the move. I miss New York. I miss my friends. I know if my parents were alive they would not support me coming all the way out here but I'm gonna be a star, and I'm gonna do right by our name. Tomorrow is my first day on set. Honestly I was surprised they chose me to be Kate. I never really saw myself as main character material, maybe the sidekick best friend who is super sarcastic and underrated. I've been reading up on my lines and apparently I'm gonna have a love triangle with two brothers. Tale as old as time I suppose. The brother I'm gonna be dating when the show starts is named Sam and the brother I guess I'm gonna be secretly into is named Derek. They haven't casted Derek yet since I guess he appears in the second episode and they can't decide between their final two. Kate's best friends name is Casey and I am actually pretty excited about tomorrow because the actress playing Casey is Lizzie Saltzman. I never actually thought I would get to work with her and now I am. Honestly this whole experience seems unreal. All of a sudden I feel faint so I go outside to get some air. When I'm outside I see a bar across the street and figure I could use a drink to calm my nerves. When I step inside I see a head of curly black hair sitting at the bar and I sit some what close to him leaving a seat separating us. "Cosmo please." I say to the bar tender. He nods at me and begins making my drink. I can feel the eyes of the curly haired stranger on me. I let him look. He's cute and I don't have to be in for work till 10 tomorrow since my call times later. "You new around here?" I hear him say staring down at some old book. "Just moved, I got a job." "Let me guess, actress." He says in a deep sly voice. "I know everybody in this city is an actor but you'll see me on your tv soon enough." I say cockily. The bar tender places down my drink and I give him a nod thanking him. I take a sip of my drink and I can feel the curly haired mans eyes on me again. "Enjoying the view?" I ask eyebrows raised. "Yeah, I am." He says confidently. He gets up from his seat and sits right next to me. He places his hand on my thigh, leans in and whispers in my ear, "I'm gonna go to the bathroom. If you don't come in in 5 minutes I'll take the hint and pretend like this didn't happen. But if you do come in I promise I'll make you forget your own name." I was shocked but surprisingly turned on. As the mystery man leaves I ask the bar tender for a shot and I down it. A minute passes and I ask for another, and another, and another before realizing my time is almost up and also that I'm extremely drunk now. Next thing I know I'm stumbling into the bathroom.

~Next morning~

I wake up slowly with a massive headache and a naked body. After recalling certain events from last night I turn to my left to see a random guy in my bed. What the hell did you do Hope. My alarm starts to blare in my ear and I realize I need to get to work I can't be late on my first day. The guy from the bar starts to wake up and he turns to me and smiles. "So I don't think we have officially met, Landon Kirby, and you are?" He asks. "Not important, I'm sorry but you really have to go I have work in 30 minutes and Its my first day." I say really just trying to get him to leave even though he is incredibly attractive and the sex was amazing. "I get it big day. Here's my number, call me sometime." He says smiling and handing me a sticky note that he took from the night stand. After that Landon guy is gone I head to work thankfully on time. After a few scenes with Lizzie and the guy playing Sam, Rafael, I head to my trailer when an assistant catches me on the way and tells me I'm gonna have a chemistry read in 10 minutes with the last two guys who are auditioning for Derek. Honestly chemistry reads isn't even necessarily about acting, the people they cast are always good looking so you just have to say your lines and it should just flow naturally. I mean unless they are extremely hot but are a major tool, that's a total buzz kill. As I head to the conference room where we do the reading for each episode I see a guy walk in who's hair seemed so similar to that guys from this morning. Maybe I should call him later, I'm not looking for anything serious but maybe he would be interested in just a causal fling? As I walk in the director Tiff greets me with a warm smile, "Hope! Lovely to see you, I would like you to meet someone. Hope this is Sebastian he'll be one of the actors auditioning for Derek, and the other actor where is he, oh! Landon over here!" Tiff yells. Landon! There's no way it has to be a different Landon, even though he's the only guy with the name Landon I've ever met it's just a coincidence... right? As the guy turns around sure enough it was him, Landon Kirby. As he walks over here Tiff introduces us. "Hope this is Landon, Landon this is Hope." She says. "Yeah we've met, nice to see you again, Hope." Landon says smiling. "Oh you two know each other well?" Tiff questions. "Very." Landon says staring at me with a smirk. "Well why don't we get this started then. Sebastian and Hope you two are up first, lines 12-35 please." As I begin to say the lines I can't seem to focus knowing Landon is watching me right now when he just saw me naked not even a day ago. When we are done I feel fine about working with Sebastian he's nice enough and cute but I don't feel much electricity. "Alright great job guys Landon you're up next." Tiff encourages. As me and Landon go through our lines my heart beat seems louder than usual. "This isn't right Derek! You are gonna end up hurting Sam and he's your brother!" I say. "You don't think I know that? I've thought about that every day but you can't deny that we have electricity. Plus when have I ever been known to be the good brother." He says. All of a sudden I want a repeat of last night, right now. "Wow guys excellent work! I'm gonna talk with the producers and see what they think and we will get back to you two." Tiff says leaving the room. I walk to the table full of sweets to try and hide my face because I can tell I'm extremely flustered. I feel a hand graze my hip and a deep voice whispers in my ear, "follow me." I don't know why but I do. Landon leads me to a supply closet and pushes me up against a wall and I kiss him my hands on his face his hands at the bottom of my shirt about to take it off. He takes off my shirt and I do the same to him. The door opens and in walks Lizzie,"Frank do you- AH! What! Who are you why- uh I'm gonna go sorry I interrupted Hope." Lizzie says panicked and embarrassed. "Lizzie I'm so sorry I-" I say being cut off by the door closing. "Anybody see janitor Frank!" I hear Lizzie scream. I then realize that me and Landon aren't in just any supply closet but the supply closet for the janitors cleaning utensils. "Landon I need to go, I've gotta be on set in 10 minutes and I need to go apologize to Lizzie I just met her and she's gonna think I'm a total slut." I say panicked. "You're not a slut-" Landon starts before I cut him off "then what am I? Huh? A super kind and fun co-star? Forget it." I say running off to go find Lizzie and to explain my hoe tendencies. When I find her she's sitting in the seat she got with her name on it like the rest of the cast. "I swear I'm not a slut who just sleeps with the first guy she see's I know Landon and I'm so sorry you had to see that." I say nervous. "Don't worry about it, plus I can't judge I am totally a slut." Lizzie says laughing. "You think he'll get the part?" Lizzie asks me. "I don't know, I kind of hope he does. Is that bad?" I ask. "I mean if you like him then why would it be a bad thing." Lizzie questions. "Because... feelings don't do anything good for anyone."

~Six Hours Later~

Although work was hard today and I'm extremely tired I promised Lizzie I would throw a little cast party at my apartment. Just a few friends, a couple of six packs, and a bottle of tequila. As people began shuffling in I started to get nervous I told the cast to invite each other and whoever else that want, I don't know who's showing up and Landon should have heard back by now if he got the part. If he got the part he could be here. I take a swig from the tequila bottle and hold it up against my chest like it's a stuffed bear and I'm 4 years old. "Hope great party!" Lizzie screams. "Do you know if Landon is coming- if he got the part?" I ask her. "No clue." She says sitting down on the couch next to me as music fills my ears and the nerves creep in. I take another swig of tequila or maybe 2 swigs. 3? I can't remember I just remember not paying attention to anything but the door. A few minutes later in walks Sebastian. Shit. Landon didn't get the part. I walk up to Sebastian quickly and say, "Hey Sebastian congrats on getting the part, I'm excited to work with you!" I lie. "Thanks! I can't wait to play Nick, not exactly the part I was looking for but hey, playing the popular football captain should be pretty fun. Of course I don't get introduced till episode 2 like Landon but still should be fun-" He says before I cut him off "Wait Landon got the part of Derek?" "Yeah, he'll do a great job, the chemistry you guys had was phenomenal." Sebastian says. I walk away from Sebastian blushing and I decide I'm gonna call Landon to come over for a few drinks. Before I do that though I down more of the bottle of tequila. While I wait for him to pick up I feel myself get nervous.

~Call~
Landon: Hello?

Hope: Hey Landon I heard you got the part on the uh- the show. That's just great- great- good job being an actor.

Landon: Hope are you drunk?

Hope: Noooooo, I have had about a fourth of this ummmm what is it called heh OH the tequila yeah that! I had a fourth of the bottle. I feel so light but anyways I'm having a party come over it's for the people that we work with- the cast or co-stars or whatever you wanna call it.

Landon: Ok Hope I'm coming over don't do anything stupid!

Hope: Me? Stupid? Neverrrrr.
