I haven't gotten any opinions so I guess I'm just going to keep switching the POV. If you have a preference please let me know :)
Vic's POV:
I was up at 8 AM trying to find a nice outfit to wear to Kellin's mom's house. Honestly I was a little nervous considering I was meeting his family. Tie? No, too formal. I decided to go for a simple button up. I made it my mission to find the weirdest button ups and make them look nice. I have like fifty ugly button ups that I picked out as a joke, but whenever I wear them I get complimented on them. I guess I make them work.I didn't know how long I was going to be there so I grabbed a change of clothes just in case. We didn't have work tomorrow because they were fixing the lights or something. We all got an email about it last night. I took one last look in the mirror, fixing my hair so it looked the way I wanted it to. I knew Kellin probably wouldn't be waking up for at least another hour, so I went down to Starbucks and got him a coffee because I'm just an amazing boyfriend.
I went upstairs and used the key Kellin gave me, walking into his apartment. As I expected, Kellin was sleeping in his bed. I smiled at how adorable he was when he slept. As creepy as it sounds, I stood there and watched him sleeping for a few minutes. I walked over and sat on the side of his bed. I ran my fingers through his hair, which was quickly becoming my favorite thing to do. Kellin started stirring in his sleep, scrunching up his face. I smiled in adoration towards him.
"Hey sleepy head I brought you coffee." I said quietly. Kellin's eyes slowly opened and he looked at me before burying his face in his pillow. "No I don't want to get up just cuddle with me." He groaned, his voice muffled by his pillow. "Kellin are you forgetting something?" I said, continuing to run my fingers through his hair. "What are you talking about? Oh yeah my mom." He sat up and yawned, shaking his head like he always did. I smiled and handed him his coffee. "Thanks I need this." He said in a quiet tone.
I sat next to him on his bed and sipped my coffee. "What time are we going?" I asked him, hitting my feet against each other. "Probably in like an hour I guess. The party doesn't start till 12 but my sister needs help setting up." Kellin said, leaning his head against the wood of his headboard. I took Kellin's hand in mine. "I'm excited to meet your family." I said with a small smile. "They're going to like you, especially my sister. She's been pushing me to find a boyfriend for sooo long." He laughed.
"Nice outfit by the way. You clean up well Victor." He said, rubbing the wrinkles out of my shirt. "Why thank you, I want to make a nice first impression. Will they care if I wear a hat like this." I said, rethinking my whole outfit. Kellin laughed and shook his head. "Relax we're a very laid back family." Kellin said, taking a sip of his coffee. "What were they like when you told them you were gay." I asked, sitting cross legged, resting my head on my fists. "My mom didn't care at all. I remember my entire life, she always said to love who you love and don't let anyone tell you it's wrong." I smiled "thats beautiful." I said, pecking him on the lips.
"I'm gonna get ready." Kellin said, standing up and stretching. He walked over to his closet and put on a plain white t shirt and a red and black flannel. "I like flannel on you." I said, watching him fix the collar. He gave me a big dorky smile and went back to getting ready. When he was finished we left. We got in my car and started driving. "Turn left." Kellin said, pointing across my face. I laughed and moved his hand out of the way. "Yes sir, turning left sir."
After a car ride full of singing along to crappy pop songs, we pulled up to Kellin's family home. It was nice looking, an average house. I liked the style of it though. It had a long wrap around porch and a nice front yard. I took a breath and got out of the car, Kellin took my hand and we walked up the steps. He knocked on the door and I heard dogs barking. I smiled because I fucking love dogs. A few seconds later the door opened. "Kells! Oh my god I haven't seen you in like three months I missed you so much!" A pretty girl with dark hair and light eyes, much like Kellin's said. She pulled him into a tight hug.
