A DATE [part 2]

They arrived at the restaurant down town. They walked up to the small podium in front of the door and checked in for their reservation Darryl has just made 10 minutes earlier before a giant rush.

The two boys got a small booth in the back.
"Ooh! Fancy! I didn't know you were capable of such class" Zak said while looking over the menu. Of course he was joking just to tease Darryl.

"I'm glad you like it. It was a last minute choice, I was gonna go with sushi but I wasn't sure if you'd like it or not"

"As long as you're paying and it tastes good I don't care" zak said leaning back into the leather of the booth chair.

The space they had gotten was small with a nice hanging blue lamp coming from the ceiling like most of the other tables. it was in the corner next to some decorative plants making it almost isolated from the rest of the room. Or at least it felt like it.

The waitress came up holding a small notepad and a pen.
"What drinks can I get for you tonight?" She asked politely looking at the two boys.

"I'll get a sweet tea!" Zak almost immediately responded. He sounded like a little kid exited to have dinner somewhere but home. Zak didn't care about darryl about to answer he just wanted food.

Darryl shot a glance of envy at zak out of pettiness because he wanted to answer first.
Zak shot one back mockingly.

"Is iced ok? I'll bring you some sugar packets" the waitress said writing down the order.

"Oh that's fine!"

"And for you tonight?" She turned to darryl who was looking over the menu again.

"I'll have the same." He said setting the menu down.

"Alright, when I get those drinks back for ya ill take your food orders."

"Sounds good" zak answered as she turned to walk away.

"Sooo Bad,"

"What?"

"What ya getting for desert"

"I haven't decided yet. Our food isn't even here yet. How can I decide?"

"I was thinking..maybe...."

"Don't you dare."

"A muffin."

"I knew you were gonna say that."

Skeppy snickered childishly and hit his knee on the table causing the silverware and plates to cling together gathering some eyes of the people around him.

"Ow"

Darryl chuckled at the boy.
"Karma."

"No it was an accident"
Zak pouted And crossed his arms dramatically as a joke.

Darryl blushed at how childish he was.
Why do I like him?

After they both got their food after ordering 15 minutes ago, Zak started digging into his pasta.
"this is really good"zak said, his mouth full of delicious noodles.
