More Than a Lifetime (inspired by tvd - incomplete still updating)

Chapter 1: The First Encounter

As we enter our room, there's a part of me that thinks I hope that guy is in our class and there's a part that hoping he's not. We walk through the aisle. We picked the left part of the class and we are seated next to each other, Anna's in the middle and I'm on her left side. Van is near the aisle. There's a vacant seat beside me.

Mike entered the room. I know he saw me looking at him. I want to approach him and tell him to sit beside me. But after what happened, I just can't.

Two months ago, we're happily spending our summer together. But things happened. We broke up just because he thought I was cheating on him. He thought I'm having an affair with his brother. Oh come on, I feel a sudden squeeze in my chest, a feel of pain. I loved him but maybe that was not enough for him to trust me that much.

"Zach, how am I supposed to do that surprise if you're not helping? Help me practice. You know I'm not good at this."

"Well, okay okay. I'm gonna help you. And I hope everything turns out great."

I  asked Zach for help to surprise Mike. It's his birthday and I want to make it special. As we were dancing, Zach and I were laughing about how Mike would react. Then suddenly, an insect dropped into me and I freaked out. I accidentally fell on Zach, kissing him.

"Oh my God I'm sorry Zach." Getting myself up.

"Are you okay Kat? It's just an insect." he sat and laughed.

"Yeah. I'm alright." As I get up, Mike came. He was watching us from afar. He looks so mad.

"What the hell is this? You're my brother and you're doing this? Kissing my girl?" I've never seen Mike like this before. I'm more than afraid. I went over him and tap his shoulder.

"Mike, Mike. Let me explain. Please don't be jealous, don't be mad." He pushed me to the floor and I fell down.

"Why Kat? Am I not enough for you? I don't need an explanation coz I've seen it all. I'm not jealous. I'm angry coz you made the fool out of me!"

I was sitting on the floor and right after he yelled, he punched Zach ath the face, making him broke hise nose. Zach fell at a stone, hitting his head. There's a lot of blood. Zach doesn't want to hear me out. He's not listening. He didn't know what really happened.

"We're done Kat. We're over. I can't do this anymore." He turned around and walked away. He left me there sitting, crying.

And that's it. That's the end of it. He never listened to me. Never answered my calls or replied to my emails.

Now, back to reality. I just want to talk to him, ask him if he's okay. He looks okay but I still want to ask.

"Kat, if you wanna talk, then talk. Go talk to him. There's no one stopping you."

I didn't even realize Anna is looking at me. Anna always know what I think and what I want. And she always tells me to do what's best. She looked at me and held my hands.

"Maybe later. I just want to talk to him in private. I just want to know if he found out the truth and if he did, why didn't he even tried to talk to me?"

"You still love him, don't you?"

"No, atleast I think so. I just want a proper closure so I can finally move on and get on with my life. Have a new crush, date again, fall in love again."

"Yeah, right..."

While I was talking, Anna turned to see who's in the door. Everyone turned to see who it is. Van is shocked and surprised and she was whispering to me.
