Five Months and Two Days left before the big day. The day I was born.

Admiring the reflection from the small puddle formed after the morning rain. I crouched and tilted my head so I could see the world from it. I saw a haven, one that looks somehow... peaceful. Like everything will be alright. Light blue-violet skies and the rising sun looked different and everything is somehow nostalgic in the reflection, It's like as if, there's hope. I grabbed my phone and took a quick picture of it.

- "Hey Zach, you alright bro? What'ya doing over there?" Martin asked.

"Uhh nothing" I replied.

- "Come on dude hurry up, we'll be late," Martin said while walking at a fast pace.

I snapped back from reality, realizing that I barely have 5 minutes left before the school begins. I hurried and followed Martin as he was entering the school gate.

While running to our room, I could see the teachers already giving the hand-outs for the exams and the students passing the hand-outs to the person behind them

Oh right, it's our finals today...

Martin was ahead of me. He reached the classroom, panting while mumbling:

- "I'm sorry *pant* I'm late *pant* Mrs. Watson, I-"

"We're sorry we're late Mrs. Watson, we had some important things we took care of" I interrupted Martin and gulped, catching up my breath. There wasn't anything 'important' that we took care of, it was just me being lazy not waking up early.

- "Oh I hope that 'something' is more important than your finals, go sit"
Mrs. Watson said in a calm tone. We're lucky we got saved by the bell.

The entire day was hella stressful, but I'm glad everything's gonna be over soon.

Everything?

No, maybe just 'Some' thing.

Soon.

I'm Zach Canterberry and I'm a senior. School ends in two weeks, and a week before graduation, we'll have our senior ball. Many of my schoolmates already asked their partners to prom but I didn't have any, and so does Martin.

After that tiring examination day, I grabbed my phone and noticed that it's already 3:21 p.m., during this time Martin and I usually hang out at our 'spot' and just chill for the rest of the day.

Martin and I were walking home together, he lived a couple of blocks away from mine.

- "Oh man, I'm glad that shit was over," Martin said in an exhausted manner.

"Yeah so do I, you wanna go to the Zs? " I asked. The Zs is the 'spot'.

We called it Zs since we usually just go there for the serenity that we couldn't find in this town. It's an amazing spot to chill. We could see the whole town where everything seems small. When we go there, we'd camp in the back of Martin's pickup and admire the view. After a couple of minutes, we'd find ourselves asleep and wake up at Martin's phone ringing, his mom always makes sure he gets home before his curfew, 7 in the evening.

- "Sure, let's head home and get our stuff, I'll drive over to your house and you better be ready when I get there"

"Yeah yeah I know."

- "No you don't, you're so lazy, and we were almost late because of you"

"Geez okay DAD, don't worry I'll be gone soon"
