"Humayrah," Mikaal and Humayrah entered the house together, drawing everyone's attention. Before anyone could react, Yumna rushed over and hugged Humayrah tightly, catching her by surprise.

"Are you okay?" Yumna asked softly, touching Humayrah's cheek as she pulled back. Humayrah, still a bit confused, nodded.

Mikaal had explained to her on the way that no one at home knew about the kidnapping, and it was crucial that no one found out. Mikaal assumed that Zafar Chaudhary had kidnapped her due to their family rivalry, and Humayrah didn’t clear his misunderstanding.

"Yeh konsa tareeqa hai, Mikaal? Itni raat gaye kaha the tum?" Javed Khan's stern and authoritative voice echoed, prompting Shehzaad to immediately lower the volume of the TV.

(What kind of behavior is this, Mikaal? Where were you so late at night?)

Before they arrived, everyone had been gathered in the lounge watching the news. Reports indicated that illegal weapons had been found at Zafar Chaudhary's hideout, although his involvement wasn't confirmed. According to the news, Zafar Chaudhary wasn't even in the country.

"Abbu, woh hum—" Mikaal started, but Javed Khan cut him off.

(Abbu, we were just—)

"Woh hum kya? Kuch hosh hai tumhe kya ho raha hai sheher mein?" Javed Khan was furious. Every member of the household had tried calling Mikaal countless times, but he hadn’t answered any of the calls, leading everyone to fear the worst. Now that Mikaal and Humayrah stood before them, safe and sound, Javed Khan’s frustration was understandable.

(What do you mean 'we were just'? Do you have any idea what's happening in the city?)

"Abbu, jane dijiye," Fyzl intervened. "Mikaal, tum agey se dhyan rakhna, ab mohol bohot kharab hone wala hai." Fyzl tried to reason with Mikaal and send him away, but Mikaal only looked at him in confusion.

(Abbu, let it go,)

(Mikaal, be more careful in the future. The situation is about to get much worse.)

"Bhai, main konsa weapons smuggle karta hoon jo main ahtiyat karu?" Mikaal asked, thinking he was reasonable, but it only fueled Javed Khan’s anger.

(Bhai, it’s not like I’m smuggling weapons. What do I need to be careful about?)

"Tumhe agar siyasat ka S nahi ata toh khamosh raho." His voice startled Humayrah. She couldn't quite grasp what was happening—perhaps it was the effect of the medication, but she felt a bit dizzy. Thankfully, Yumna was still standing beside her, holding her arm.

(If you know nothing about politics, keep quiet.)

"Aur tumhe jaha jana hai jao, chaho toh raat mein bhi ghar mein aney ki zaroorat nahi kyuki tumhe toh koi khatra ho nahi sakta, steel ke bane ho. Bas ghar ki khawateen ko leke itni derr ghar se bahar nahi rahoge." At Javed Khan’s words, Mikaal turned to look at Humayrah, who was still watching Javed.

(And you can go wherever you want, don’t even bother coming home at night if you don’t feel like it, since apparently, you’re invincible. But don’t keep the women of the house out so late.)

The women of the house? Did that mean Humayrah was now considered part of the family?

"Agey se dhyan dunga," Mikaal said, bowing his head in obedience.

(I’ll be more careful in the future,)

"Chalo, ab sab apne apne kamre mein jao, waise bhi raat itni ho gayi." Shaheen’s calm voice ended the conversation.
