Glancing at the clock after doing some last minute homework, Savannah quickly packed up her school things, bringing them to her room. It was four thirty, and she still had to get ready to go. Throwing on a blouse over a tank top, Savannah pulled her hair back so it was half up, half down. Looking herself over in the mirror, she smiled. Bouncing over to her bed, the girl pulled on her shoes and grabbed her phone, stuffing it into her pocket. A car horn beeped from outside which brought a smile to her face. Rushing to the door, she said bye to her parents and brother, and hopped into Kelsey's mother's car that they were borrowing, since it was the only way to fit six people into one vehicle. Julie had shotgun, Rose and Kristi were in the back, and the middle was empty for her and Becca. "Hey guys!" she greeted, getting in and closing the door.

"Hey!" they greeted her back. Kelsey peeled out of the driveway and headed to Becca's house.

"You know where I'm going?" Kelsey asked. Savannah nodded.

"Yeah. Turn left up here," she instructed. With Savannah's guidance, Kelsey made it there a little before five. Savannah hopped out and went up to ring the doorbell. Becca came out soon after. "Hey! Ready to go skating?" Savannah asked. Becca laughed. With her hair pulled back, she almost looked like a different girl.

"Ready as I'll ever be." The two girls got back into the car with the others.

"So, are you excited?" Savannah asked.

"Yeah, I could use some fun."

"How have you been liking the school so far? Julie asked, turning around with a smile.

"It's nice. Although, some things need a bit of getting used to," she laughs. Then, she turns to Savannah, and her voice takes a ore serious tone. "That Cameron boy is in my computer lab class."

"Oh, really?" Becca nods.

"Yeah. Do you know a tall guy in your grade, named Jake?"

"Oh yeah, he's an ass," Kristi chimed in.

"Yeah, he's no one you'd want to hang out with," Savannah agrees. "What about him?"

"He's in the class too. Cameron was going to sit in front of me, and then he came in and took the chair right from underneath him. I was shocked at how cruel it was."

"Did the teacher say anything?" Savannah asks, appalled. Becca shook her head.

"No, he wasn't there yet." There was a slight pause before she continued. "But... I did." Savannah's eyes widened and she let out a bit of a shocked laugh.

"Really? What'd you do?" Becca smiled slightly, thinking back on it.

"The teacher asked him to get the door and lights, so when he got up, I pulled his chair back with my feet, so he fell down too." The girls in the car all laughed in amusement.

"That's awesome!" Kelsey smiled. "Way to go."

"Yeah, that was pretty gutsy," Rose comments.

"Good for you, though! I'm proud of you!" Savannah beams, hugging the girl.

"Thanks," Becca accepts the praise humbly. Soon, they arrive at the skate rink. Just a little past five, too. The girls laced up their skates and hit the floor practically right away. Savannah saw that Becca was a little hesitant, and rolled over to help her.

"Here, gimme your hands." Becca did so willingly, as though she fully trusted her although they had only just met the other day, and slowly, Savannah helped her to her feet. They skated around together, still holding hands.

"Whoa," Becca exclaimed, almost losing her balance.

"No worries, I've got you. Just keep holding on." As the girls skated around a bit, a scene caught Savannah's attention as her brown eyes spotted Cameron Sherwood with the football team. "Something's not right..." she whispered, slowing down.
