Because of school and whatnot, I haven't been able to upload and I have had chapter 2 on standby 4ever! I mean, I had it ready, just no time to upload it! Well here's chapter 2 anyway :)

Last Time

Ran, Sonoko and the Detective Boys found a... peculiar letter under Shinichi's door and decided (eventually =D ) to give it to Prof.Agasa for safe keeping. What does the letter say? Well you'll have to read to find out! :)

Conan's P.O.V.

'Wow! We finally got to Prof. Agasa's house after some (ALOT) of arguing about a certain letter. I wonder what it is? I'll have a look at it later when the others have gone home.'

*Sigh*

Out of concern, Haibara asked me " What's bothering you?

'what do you think'' I thought in my mind, aiming it at her with all his fustration.

"That weird letter. Oh! By the way, Haibara, Do you know what VONGOLA means? It was on the letter."

They were both looking at the Detective Boys with those eyes. Eyes that have seen too much. Eyes that feel guilty for dragging those innocent children into battle. Eyes that were filled with sadness...

" No, but I think I have heard of it, It's like it doesnt want to be known..."

" Yeah......

>Time Skip<
3rd Person P.O.V
"Prof. Agasa!" shouted Ayumi "Look! It's a big storm!
At Ayumi's remark, we all looked to the window and wow! She wasn't kidding when she said a BIG storm: It was raining like mad and lightning and thunder could be seen (and heard).
"Prof. Agasa, how are we going to get home in that storm!" Said Mitsuhiko
All of the detective boys (excluding Conan and Haibara), Ran and Sonoko were all looking at the only 'adult' in the group hoping for an answer.
Prof. Agasa sighed. He had enough places for everyone to sleep and they had quite a lot of food in the fridge.
"I guess you can all sleep here for the night then. I'll phone your parents to tell them what 's going on."
"Yeah!" They all shouted in unison (except for you know who)
and at that, he walked over to the phone and started to dial the children's parents.
>Timeskip<
Still in 3rd Person P.O.V
"Well, now everyone's had dinner and had a bath, I think it's about time we all went to bed!" Said Prof. Agasa
Everyone nodded and went to their beds and slowly drifted off to sleep.....
Except for one little four-eyed brat (Conan glares)... I mean a lovely little glasses kid.
As soon as he saw everyone sleeping, he gets out of bed and walks over to Agasa, who's working on an invention of his. Careful not to be to loud, he asks Prof. Agasa where the mysterious letter is. He gets the letter and meticulously lifts the seal, and pulls out the letter.
It reads,
"Dear Kudo Shinichi,
You are cordially invited to the Vongola Meet-And-Greet Ball. It would be an honour to see you, the Great Detective of the East, in person. Of course you are granted as many guests as you like but I must put a Max on at 15 guests per invitee. In total, in the envelope, there are 16 tickets and you will have to show these to the guard at the door or you will not be permitted to enter, unfortunately. The Ball will be on Thursday 27th of January at the Grand Vongola Hall
If you have trouble with transportation or any other issues, do not worry as I have sorted everything out for the day. All you have to do is appear at the front door of your house at 9AM as it takes 4 hours to get to the destination. I will be looking forward to meeting you face to face

Conan's P.O.V
I read the letter over and over again to get the gist of it
'So basically, I've been invited to a ball? Is that it? I think there's something more behind this. I'll need to find out what! And to do that, I'll need to go to that ball!'
"Prof. Agasa, could you come up with a background story so that we can go to this ball. I've got a weird feeling that something big is going to happen at this ball." I ask him
Prof. Agasa looks at me weirdly and I nod to give him the message. He nods back and I walk back to my bed, thinking about that letter.
'I'll have to tell Haibara about that letter tomorrow'.........
The night takes over and darkness consumes the world until tomorrow comes.......
