Oh No, Chapter 2.
I walk onto the stage, bright lights shine in my eyes so I can't see, the lights get turned down so I can finaly see. I look at the crowd and think, can they turn the lights back on? But I put on a act, I walk confidently and smile take a seat on a wooden seat, thats been put there and a long cable to jack into my guitar, yes I know its a acoustic made out of wood but my guitar is custom.
"So you are?" A judge asks. By the tone of his voice I think nobody could sing or act.
"Nathan Joan." I replied pleasently.
"Where you from Nathan?" He asked.
"Scotland." I said grinning.
"So are you playing the guitar?" He asked. Wow what a dumb question.
"I'm going too sing and play, I'm going to sing: 21 Guns by Green Day." I smiled and a few cheers from the crowd. I start too play the intro into the song and I started too sing.
"Do you know what's worth fighting for?
When it's not worth dying for?
Does it take your breath away
And you feel yourself suffocating?
Does the pain weigh out the pride?
And you look for a place to hide?
Did someone break your heart inside?
You're in ruins
One, 21 guns
Lay down your arms, give up the fight
One, 21 guns
Throw up your arms into the sky, you and I
When you're at the end of the road
And you lost all sense of control
And your thoughts have taken their toll
When your mind breaks the spirit of your soul
Your faith walks on broken glass
And the hangover doesn't pass
Nothing's ever built to last
You're in ruins
One, 21 guns
Lay down your arms, give up the fight
One, 21 guns
Throw up your arms into the sky, you and I
Did you try to live on your own
When you burned down the house and home?
Did you stand too close to the fire
Like a liar looking for forgiveness from a stone?
When it's time to live and let die
And you can't get another try
Something inside this heart has died
You're in ruins
One, 21 guns
Lay down your arms, give up the fight
One, 21 guns
Throw up your arms into the sky
One, 21 guns
Lay down your arms, give up the fight
One, 21 guns
Throw up your arms into the sky, you and I."
I finish the song and I hear a collected gasp from everybody, and I just lay down a sly/nervous smile, the judges stunned the audience even more so and they start to clap. I had no doubt I would be the next big thing. This could be the best or the worst thing in my life, but if I win I'm going to keep things the same as possible.
I hope.
