"Loser!" Tony laughed, walking away with his friends, and leaving Steve behind on the ground.

Steve let his head fall back onto the lockers and sighed. Why did high schoolers have to be such jerks? Couldn't he go just one day without being bullied by 'the popular kids'?

"I see your plan of avoiding them isn't working out too well," Natasha commented as she held her hand out to help Steve get back onto his feet.

"Yeah," Steve grunted as he hoisted himself up. "It's like they go out of their way just to torment me." Natasha chuckled and watched as Steve picked up his books, which had been scattered across the floor.

The two walked off down the hallway towards their next class, laughing and chatting, lightning the mood for both of them a little.

"Mr. Stark!" The teacher snapped, glaring down at Tony, who had once again fallen asleep in the middle of a lesson. "Would you like to go solve the equation on the board?"

A few people in the class chuckled behind their hands and Tony grumpily took the marker from his teacher's hand and walked up to the board. He examined the problem for a few seconds before writing the answer on the board without 'showing his work'.

"Would you like to explain how you got that answer, Mr. Stark?" The teacher asked expectantly.

"Nope," He smirked and walked back to his desk, flopping down and giving his teacher a very arrogant look. The teacher scoffed under her breath and went back to the lesson. Steve rolled his eyes at Tony. Geez, did he have to be so disrespectful?

He noticed Bruce passing by in the hallway, probably running something to the office, in the little window on their door. Bruce was the overall smartest kid in school even though he was only a Sophomore. He wasn't quite sure why they haven't given him a scholarship to literally any college he wants to go to yet, but he would hate to lose Bruce as a friend.

Even though most smart students were seen as nerds, Bruce was rarely picked on, mostly due to his anger issues, which tended to get a little out of hand. He's actually been kicked out of three schools already...maybe that's why he doesn't have any scholarships.

He wondered if Tony would even go to college. Tony was a Junior, yet he was in the sophomore math class, and although Steve wasn't the brightest, he might even consider himself dumb, he still felt he was smarter than his bully.

Steve watched as Tony casually threw some balled up paper at students while the teacher wasn't looking, and it angered him. This guy can't just go around being a jerk to everyone and get away with it! I mean, how has no one reported him yet?!

Steve realized that he had never actually turned Tony into the principal...maybe in fear that it would come back to bite him. Tony had a large group of friends, none of which he wanted to get on the bad side of. Not that he was on their good side, more of their...neutral side.

Once the bell rang, students started to pour out into the hallways, shoving others out of the way so they could rush off to their next class. Steve stuck behind at his desk, as usual, trying to avoid the rushing crowd.

"It's just a crowd, they're not going to trample you," A voice chuckled from behind Steve. "Or who knows, maybe they will."

"I just prefer to stay away from a bunch of sweaty teenagers," Steve mumbles, putting his last book in his backpack and swinging it around. "You know, like you!"
