Love is in the air

Kumiko POV:
More members have joined concert band and we were aiming towards nationals again. I have been trying to help out Reina with Taki-sensei but they are still the same as the first year of high school.

"Kumiko!" I turn to see Reina running towards me.

"Yes?" I ask.

"You have to meet the new!" She grabbed one of my hands since the other was holding my euphonium.

"Ok ok" We head into the room and I greet the new members.

Everyone starts to pick their instruments, trombone and trumpet is popular. I got one girl who wants to play euphonium. She has black hair and hazel eyes. She reminded me so much like Reina but the personality was a bit different. She always stayed by my side and I liked her. She looked up to me.

"Senpai!" She came running to me.

"Ah Chiharu-chan" I turned to face her.

"I told you you can call me Airi" She hugged me and I hugged her back. She was shorter then me so it was fun to hug her.

"Kumiko" Reina came walking towards us with her trumpet in hand.

"Senpak hello!" Airi waved at her.

"Kousaka-senpai is fine and Kumiko we have to go meet with Midori and Katou" I nearly forgot about us going to hang out.

"Right uh Airi see you later ok!" I wave bye to her while heading to Reina.

"Bye Senpai!" She smiled to me and walked off.

"Want to get ice cream after school?" Reina asked.

"Sorry I am gonna get some pastries with Airi" She looked bummed but cute.

"Oh ok. Lets head to practice" She started walking and I followed next to her.

"So how is Taki-sensei~" She didn't react the way she usually did, she just had a blank stare.

"He is fine" She said as she opened the door and head to her seat. Weird, usually she would blush or have some sort of reaction.

Time skip to after school

"Senpai!" Airi hugged me tight and I hugged her back.

"See you tomorrow Reina" I wave goodbye to Reina and she waves back and leaves without saying a word.

"Come on I know this cute place!" She grabbed my hand and dragged me to the place.

We walked in still holding hands. I finally let go of her hand and she looked sad. We sat down and ordered our food.

"Hey senpai, did you have your first kiss or relationship?" She questioned.

"Well no not yet" I remember the promise with Shuuichi but I didn't think I could keep that promise.

"Well how about your first date?" I thought about it.

"Do you consider going up a mountain for a breath taking view with someone date?" I remembered the time me and Reina hiking up the mountain together and becoming friends again.

"Sounds like a pretty good date, who was it with Tsukamoto-senpai~" She tried to tease me but I learned to put up with it.

"It was with Reina" I told her.

"Y-You like girls!" She looked happy.

"Not like that but she said it was a love confession" I still didn't understand what she meant by that.

"Oh poo" She became pouty and adorable.

"Aw you are just so cute" I got up and sat next to her to hug her.
