Alister's POV
I woke up to little hands tugging on our blankets. I rolled over and reached down, pulling them into bed. They sat between us and Alex began to pat Stormy on the face. "Paw," he said as he continued till she yawned and grabbed his little hand. "Okay," she said sleepily. She sat up and stretched before picking him up and I picked up Maya. She was patting my cheek, feeling the stubble that was growing there. Her facial expression told me she didn't like how it felt. We went to the incredibly pink sun room and I saw it was filled with toys, a tv, and a giant stack of DVDs for the kids. She sat Alex on the floor and put in a movie that had dogs dressed in outfits.
I sat Maya down and she went over to the toy box. Stormy then went off to the kitchen while I stayed with them. "Dada," I heard and looked at Maya. She was sitting on the floor with a ball. She rolled it to me, indicating she wanted me to play with her. I sat down and rolled it back to her. She smiled and pushed it back. Soon Alex was crawling his way into my lap. I wrapped one arm around him while the other hand continued to push the ball. When Stormy came in, she had two plates, and two sippy cups. She put them on a small table and we sat the kids in the chairs.
We then went to go get ready. I watched as she began to get dressed. She wasn't as slim as she had been when we first met. Her hips were wider, her thighs thicker, and her breasts a lot larger. She was a lot curvier and it made me hard just glancing at her. She was gorgeous. "I can feel you watching me," she said as she put on a pair of jeans that looked like they were painted on her. I pulled her to me, "I'm having trouble controlling myself." A light blush covered her cheeks and I placed a kiss on the mark that seemed a little faded a, soft moan leaving her lips. It must have faded because I've been away from her for so long. I will have to fix that. For now though, we had things we needed to do.
I watched her finish getting ready, and I was happy she still wore bright colors. Her jeans were dark, but she wore a soft pink blouse with black healed boots. I dressed in my usual attire and saw they didn't fit as they once did. I lost much of my muscle due to starvation and lack of being able to move. I would need to regain it if I am to keep up with my mate and children. We then checked on the twins and saw they were finished eating. We took them up to their room and got them dressed. I was not comfortable taking them with us, but it was better than leaving them.
The drive was rather interesting, seeing what was left of Brightly. It was like it was out of a horror movie. She paid it no attention as we made our way through the city, having grown so used to it. When we got there many eyes noticed us. Stormy went in with her back straight with the children. A man with an earring in his left ear and his head shaved was waiting by a desk, file in hand. Stormy went straight to him and he handed her the file. "Glad you're back from your vacation Ms. Charles," he said to her coldly. "It's Mrs. Lumare," I corrected, and he seemed to notice my presence then. He then looked at the kids before looking back at Stormy who was looking over the file.
"Good to see they're settling in," she said with a nod. "This is Jacobsen. He wasn't part of the Organization. He was a pathetic little army dog who was dishonorably discharged and arrested for killing a fellow army officer. Of course that army officer was an Unknown posing as human. Now Jacobsen, drop the big dog act, I told you, it's not going to get you very far here. Now be a good boy and tell Marx to meet me in my office in an hour. I need to go over over advancement progress with him."
He nodded and then she took us to her office. The twins had a playroom inside to the right with a tv and more DVDs. There was a large amount of paperwork sitting on her desk. The twins went to play with Mikal while she went to her desk. "What the hell is all that," Damon asked her. "Files on information that was gathered on our new arrivals, as well as other things. This is why I hate that we have electricity. They type everything up on word then print it out for me to go over. Damn generators," she grumbled as she opened up the first file. "They're also inventory logs for the new supplies we got."
