Riley's P.O.V.
Once we arrived at their locker, Maya and I waited for them to put in items they don't want to carry. Their lockers were in the same hall directly across from each other. Same as Maya and me but we are one set of lockers down.
The school was starting to get filled with students, which meant there would be students sitting in the hall, which meant there would be a bit of traffic. We got hit a few times while walking but it was usual. The boys will get use to it.
Instead of continuing the tour we started to walk to class. Luke was in all my classes but one. He had that class with Maya. And Dylan had the same schedule as Maya but that one class he has with me. Thank you principal and office people.
"Okay the bell should be ringing shortly." Maya said. As if on cue the bell rang. Most of the students started to get up and walk to class but some people just got up and started to talk with friends. That is usual though. People would just stop in the middle of the hallway and talk. It gets so annoying that they can't step to the side to let people pass still.
"Well... I guess his is goodbye until our break." I said. It was getting awkward.
"Yeah. Come on Dylan, let's get to class before we get marked tardy." Maya said facing Dylan. She gets along with everyone, so he won't get bored, or get awkward, well because Maya is Maya. Unusually weird.
"Okay. Bye Luke, Riley." He said being dragged off.
"Bye Guys!" Maya shouts.
"Bye!" Luke and I said in unison. ' A little weird we said it at the same time. ' I thought. Maya looked back and smiled while I just rolled my eyes at her.
"Let's go Luke." He waved bye one last time and followed me to our first period. On the way there it was mostly quiet.
"So do we get assigned seats in this class?"
"Mrs. Frost is cool with where we sit. We just have to make sure we don't disturb her when she teaches."
"Oh. Alright. That is nice of her."
"Yup." We got to class on time and sat down at a couple of empty desks. I sat in one, and Luke sat in the desk behind me. Our first period right now is English. Mrs. Frost waited for the last of the students to come in. She started teaching when the second bell rang.
"Well class, Good Morning. I see we have a new student. Mister McKinley?" Mrs. Frost says looking behind me towards Luke.
"Yes ma'am?" She was still looking at him and also the rest of the class.
"Will you please stand up and introduce yourself." She smiled sweetly.
Luke stood up hesitantly and cleared his throat. "Hi, my name is Luke McKinley. I'm new here. I use to go to Randell High with my... uh, brother. Um... I guess that's it." He sat back down and Mrs. Frost began teaching the class. We had to finish reading this book so we can write an essay about it. She gave Luke a book and his regular textbook. The class went on with her reading, and pausing at moments to talk about what is going on.
When the bell rung, I rushed out of the and waited by the door for Luke.
"Hello?!" He didn't notice me at first so I had to get his attention by shouting.
"Oh, I'm sorry I thought you left me behind." I had to roll my eyes at his statement and I did.
"You need to know how to get to each class. So I can't leave you behind...yet." He chuckled.
