UNHAPPY BIRTHDAY [COMPLETED]

Chapter 1

      

A luxurious hotel is crowded with opulent guests  wearing shimmering long gown and silken tuxedo with white and black tie to help celebrate Pristine’s 20th birthday. Holding their high end pouch, they walk towards Pristine giving her precious gifts. Most of her parents' friends and workmates came. It's a grandiose event. Euphonious music was played by the orchestra while they are dancing on the ballroom under the scintillating radiance of the crystal chandelier.
    

Lots of men asked Pristine for a dance but she accepted it half heartedly and a faint, transient wistful smile lightened her brooding face as she was wishing for someone to spend her night with. She is a petite woman wearing high heeled silver shoes that made her appear taller. She is wearing glimmering fit long gown making her hourglass body visible. Her hair is like a luxuriant black cascade blending beautifully with her translucent face and sparkling black eyes. She’s also wearing silver gloves which made her look like a goddess.

Her time was spent on giving a warm smile to everyone who greeted her. But she is still abstracted. Where is he? She thought while crossing her arms and tapping her finger.

"You look distracted. Are you okay?" Her mom asked while putting her palm on Pristine's shoulder.

"Yeah! of course I'am. It's my day. Being down in the dumps is out of the question." she exclaimed vibrantly.

Her mom smiled vivaciously at her and goes to her friends who were just about to step in.

Pristine looks at the murky sky through the window when someone pats her shoulder. She almost shout out of shock so she instantly turn her head and it was her friend Kiah together with her brother Luther who were standing at the back. She stared at them blankly in amazement.

Kiah is a  resemblance of simplicity; she looks stunning no matter what she wear. She looks like a princess with her tawny bun hair giving emphasis to her russet brown eyes. She's wearing luminous silver long gown with high heeled stilettos. They’ve been best friends for a decade no wonder others thought they were sisters. 

“Hey Pristine, OMG! You look stunning by the way happiest birthday,” Kiah greeted with a wide smile on her face.

“Oh Thanks Kiah and Luther thank you for coming here,” she answered.

“No problem! Actually I have plenty of works to finish but my sister pushes me to come here so I have no choice HAHA,” he jokingly said while rubbing his hair.

Luther is a 12 year old boy who is naturally born genius. At a young age, his IQ were almost close to Einsten. Others call him with the nickname “second generation Einstein” or  “ young Einstein”. Supposedly he’s a middle school student but he is way too smart so the teachers accelerated him to high school. He is an ultimate Sherlockian that inspires him to become a detective when he grows up.

" Are you still waiting for someone?" Kiah inquired.

Pristine nodded.

"Is it Klyde?" She asked in a teasing tone dragging her hawkish gaze on her.

She blushes and her eyes wrinkled while her mouth twitched. She can't say a word so she just give a nod.

"As expected from you Pristine. You really have soft spot for him huh." she giggled.

Kiah is about to stroll when she noticed that Pristine is still looking at the window.

"Come on Pristine. You should enjoy your day. Don't let someone break in. Just clear your mind." Kiah advised.

"Just go to your seats. Don't worry about me I'm fine." she muttered glinting her eyes.

Kiah gave a smarmy smile and went to their seats while Pristine is still waiting for Klyde Carson, the love of her life. She fell in love with Klyde since they were just kids .Pristine moved to America when she was little and being an Asian is the reason why she got bullied but Klyde saved her from those bullies that’s why he became her knight in shining armor and from there on, her feelings for him ignited.
            

Klyde Carson is a boyfriend material making every girl fell head over heels for him. Not to mention his fair complexion which illuminated his hazel brown eyes, thick eyebrows and naturally red plump lips, he is a consistent top student and currently taking Political Science at Harvard .During his high school days, he was a varsity player in basketball and also, he is a son of a CEO of one of the biggest multinational company in America but despite being rich, he remained demure and solicitous.

While Pristine is staring at the window she flinched when  someone bump her. She instantly turn her head to find out who is it.
