Hanabi wanted to leave then, but she felt like she needed a better weapon to make it easier for her to defeat the traitor, who was known to be an akuma ninja. She has heard rumors that his sworn was like no other, so her normal weapons could not be enough. A memory of one of her grandfather's stories played in her head. About the Scarlet Sect's most ancient weapon, the higanbana. Though it seemed to be just a flower in someone's eye, it was no ordinary flower. When used, it would trap the enemy in the flower for a few seconds, letting the owner have the advantage and attack while the enemy could do nothing about it. She then decided to steal the weapon from her grandfather, the master of the scarlet sect.

Hanabi remembered that her Grandfather always told her to never step foot in this particular room in the scarlet sect's secret hideout. She has always been curious about the room since young, but dared not disobey her grandfather. Her grandfather, though old, was still an amazing fighter. He was also a very strict master, and therefore many feared him, even Hanabi herself. What she was doing was very risky, as she may not be welcomed back to the scarlet sect, but she didn't care. Her anger towards the shadow ninja was too strong. Also, perhaps her grandfather would forgive her if she comes back with the dead traitor.

Since it was late, the people who weren't at the summer festival were probably asleep, which includes her grandfather. She quietly stepped into the hideout, trying to stay quite for there were members of the scarlet sect who were sleeping here in their dorms. She walked all the way in until she found the door to the room that her grandpa forbided anyone to enter. She breathed in deeply before opening the door.

Hanabi was astonished at the sight. The room looked like its been here for centuries and there were many ancient weapons of the scarlet sect. She looked around when something in the middle of the room. There it was. The legendary higanbana. She's only seen it in photos before, and never imagined this day that she will use it. 'Do not touch' There was a sign that said that. A twinge of guilt appeared in Hanabi's chest but she was too determined.

'Sorry, Grandpa' She whispered before grabbing the weapon with her hands. She then closed the door so quietly that you could hear the sound of a pin drop. She immediately sprinted her way out silently, proud of herself but at the same time guilty.

'Time to find that traitor son of a bitch' Hanabi whisper-shouted in determination, making her way towards the forest.

The cold wind brushed against Hanabi's face as she took her first step into he forest. A shiver of hesitation ran down her spine but she shoved it away. No.. she had to kill the traitor before Hayabusa does. She took a shaky breath before walking deeper into the forest.

She had been walking for hours and yet there was no sign of the traitor. She sighed, but was too stubborn to give up. She went to a nearby bush to rest for a while as her legs were growing tired. While resting, thoughts rushed into her mind. What was she doing? Why couldn't she wait till the daytime? Why at night when it was harder to see and when many demons are probably lurking around? All these were questions her inner voice kept yelling into her head, but she ignored it. It was her mission. To find the akuma ninja before Hayabusa even gets the chance. Then, perhaps he could see her more than just a number two, or the graceful umbrella mage's shadow.

Hanabi was about to get on her feet when she heard footsteps from the path she was on. She stayed in the bush, peeking out to see what it was. She broke out in cold sweat, thinking that it was the all powerful traitor, but unfortunately for her, it was just a man. Probably an assassin on the way to kill the traitor as well. Hanabi just rolled her eyes and decided to wait till the assassin was off her path and then continue. She was debating whether to rest here for the night or to continue her journey, but she did not want to risk Hayabusa finding the traitor before her, so she decided to carry on.
