chapter eight

Liya's pov

It was chrismas eve and Aaron's family has invited mine for dinner to say I was nervous is an understatement what if his parent don't like me ,what if they don't want Aaron and i to be together ,all this and many more were flowing through my head

Ignoring my thoughts I decided to get ready since it was almost time for the dinner .

After doing a simple makeup I decided to curl my hair and pack it to one side wearing a knee length blue gown and matching it with black heels look at my self in the mirror I looked very presentable and I was proud of myself .

Me and my family were currently in front of Aaron's family cottage from the outside you could tell it was bigger than ours after some minutes,a middle age woman who had the same eyes with Aaron opened the door she was beautiful now I see where he gets his beauty from

"Welcome Mr and Mrs  walter   and you my dear must be liya " she said while pulling me into a hug I must say their family really loves hugs .

Their cottage was far more prettier than ours everything in it screamed rich it was beautiful .

"Food is served" Aaron's mom announced as she lead us to the dinner room .they was varieties of food on the table it made my mouth water .

Dinner was amazing and Aaron's mom was amazing ,his father wasn't present but nobody asked because it wasnt our job to.nose into their family matters .

My parent left an hour ago but I was still here with Aaron and Ashley gisting .

I must admit Ashley is really nice and I love her but I can't stop thinking about what she said last night  ,pushing the thought out of my head I decided to give Aaron my gift for him.

"Emm I got you something " I said looking at him

" you did really have to you know " he said sincerely .

"What kind of friend would I be if I dont give you a Christmas gift " I asked

"Friend " he muttered

"Come with me " he said while dragging me out of the house .

We have been walking for 10hrs now just kidding it have just been 10 mins but am already tired and Aaron won't even let me open my eyes
" we are here you can open your eyes now " I slowly opened my eyes with both fear and curiosity in my heart

" OMG it beautiful " I whispered  .The whole place had been decorated with my favorite flower roses it was really beautiful .

Turning to face Aaron I met him on his knees holding a red rose

" I never believed in love or happily ever after but you made me believe love exist and with that I want you to be my happily ever after ,every thing about you is amazing the way you care for everyone, how you have a killer smile that can melt any heart.
You are some one I never want to lose so liya ocean  walter will you do this unromantic fellow a favor and be his girlfriend " he said looking deep into my eyes

I was literally in tears no one has ever said something this sweet to me .

" yes i will be your girlfriend " I replied

"Thanks" he said giving me the sweetest smile I have ever seen

Pulling me closer he held my waist and kissed me It was magical ,a thousand butterflies erupted in my stomach .

" now for your Christmas gift " he said while carrying something out of his pocket handing me a small box I opened it and grasped

" wow it beautiful this must have cost you a fortune ,you didn't have to spend so much on me " I said  while looking at the necklace in the box it was made of silver and the center piece was a heart made with diamond

" anything for my girlfriend " he replied

Girlfriend I like the way he said it

Opening my bag I bought his gift and gave it to him

I watched as he slowly opened it I really hope he likes it .

I didn't really get him anything expensive I just framed a picture of us together in the park two weeks ago

The picture was taken by sonai non of us knew but the picture was beautiful .he was looking at me as I laughed at something .

"This is the best gift I have ever gotten " he said while smiling at me .

"Am glad you like it " I replied as I leaned in to kiss him

I was literally on cloud nine I was really happy and finally am Aaron's girlfriend .the memory of how he asked me out kept on playing in my head and I just kept on  smiling like an idiot .

" I never wanted to come to this hell hole in the first place " my mother sounded
What was this about
Standing up from my bed I  decided to check it out

"I said am sorry can't you just understand " my father said in a calm voice

" understand what that you are a man whore who  doesn't respect his wife  if not for me do it for liya's sake " my mom said as she broke down in tears

What my father is cheating how could he . I felt like I was stabbed my a knife on my heart .

She didn't deserve this ,nobody deserves to be cheated on .

With all this thoughts running in my head I didn't realize when I knocked down the vessel next to me . it was at that moment my parent noticed my presents

" liya dear are you okay " my father asked looking at me with questioning eyes .

Ignoring him I ran into my room and locked it .sitting on the floor I didn't know when the tears started flowing down my eyes

Ignoring the knocks and pleading from my mom I just stayed there crying till sleep took me away from my nightmares
