Hey, my name's Zack Morris and today, it'll be my first day of 9th grade at Bayside High. (I camt believe summer's over!) To be honest, I'm not very excited for many reasons; I mean, it's school! However, one reason that makes me actually look forward to the start of this dreadful school year... The "pro" reason that drowns out all of the "cons" : Kelly will be there!

Kelly has been in my class very year, since 5th grade. Oh, and I've had a major crush on her since that very day. Kelly was the most popular, beautiful girl in school, and I'm going get her. Anyway, I feel that I have a pretty good chance, beings though all of the girls are head-ober-heels for me. Not to be boastful or anything...

Then, I spent 15 whole minutes perfecting my perfect, side-swept, dreamy, beachy looking, brown-with-blonde-highlighted hair into a sweet and cute, preppy-looking hairdo. (Which, by the way, I knew Kelly would love.) Which also reminds me of how I received my new nickname from a guy named A.C. Slater that I'd soon meet and then, become best friends with in the future. Who would've guessed?

When I arrived at school that morning, it seemed smaller than the building that our middle school took us to examine. Everybody from my 8th grade class when to the same high school, as it was a branch from the other building. Anyway, let's get back to the story. When we got there, we received all of our rosters and then were quickly assigned to various lockers all over the building. My locker was shockingly, only 2 lockers down from my dream girl and only one down from my best friend, Samuel, wjom we call "Screech," (which is a very long story!) From there, we got to experience each of our classes, which were divided up by levels of intelligence.

The day seemed to drag on forever until 5th period... Finally! She was in one of my classes! Kelly had always been smarter than me, but she'd always struggled in math a bit. That's why, she stumbled into my algebra 1 class! (Which, by the way, I was sort of thankful for now.) I coukdnt wait to get settled in, and gather up the courage to ask her out. This school year is going to be great!
