My Savior- Wilhemina Venable

It's been a week since me and Mina had our fight and I still have no idea why she's mad at me and every time I try and talk to her my so called 'friends' always drag me away from her. In our classes she has moved seats and I haven't been able to sleep because of what happened. Today I tried to talk to Mina but she just walks away and I don't want to bother her more so I just leave her alone. I was walking out of my 8th period ready for the end of the day. I was headed to my locker when i heard someone begging desperately "PLEASE GIVE IT BACK PLEASE" I heard laughing and a "look at Mina the Monster you freak" I turned around to see a bunch of jocks hovering over purple on the floor and I knew immediately it was Wilhemina Venable. I hate when they bully her because of her scoliosis. I get so fed up I speed walk over there and say "do we have a problem here" the boys break from the circle and I see Wilhemina on the floor sobbing. Two of the boys run away but the two main boys stay and say "yeah this freak needs a stupid cane" just hearing them say that sends me over the edge. I take both of my hands and grip their throats slamming them against the lockers. My grip strengthens as I say through gritted teeth "how fucking dare you insult her like that you pieces of shit" they start to lose their breaths as they grab my wrists in hopes to loosen my grip but they have no luck. I yell at them "SAY YOUR SORRY" they say as they still try to breath "sorry" I say through gritted teeth "mean it you fuckers" I release their throat so they get some air "sorry Wilhemina" I release them completely so the fall on the ground but I pick them up by their shirts, I ball their shirts in my fist and says while darting from one of their eyes to the other "if you EVER hurt this angel again I will kill both of you on the spot" they looked scare shitless and I literally see one of them piss themselves making Mina chuckle a bit and a smile tugs at my lips. I say "do you understand" they nod and I yell spitting in their faces "SAY IT FUCKERS" they both say while their voice cracks and tears threaten to spill from their eyes "we understand" I release them and say "get out of my sight before I kill you both" they get off of the floor and scurry out of the hall. I kneel down and ask "you ok" she doesn't say anything she's just looking at me as if I'm her knight in shining armor which makes me smile and it's the first time she's looked at me since the fight. I say "do you want to get up or...." I trail off and she lets out a giggle making my heart melt. She says "um yes thank you" I nod and stand up, I extend my hand motioning her to take it and she grabs it, when she does my heart skips a beat and I know hers does as well, it feels as if our hands have been perfectly molded to fit one another. I smile and she does as well, we both get taken out of our moment by a "everything ok here ladies" I see Mr Smith our science teacher and say "yes sir....well actually Eric and Seth were bullying Ms Venable here and I scared them off but I think they deserve punishment considering how rude they were being" now I realize why Mina got so mad at me for being 'friends' with them, Mr Smith nods and say "of course I'll suspend them for a month and talk to the coach this is unacceptable behavior and they'll be kicked off the team" I nod and say "thank you sir" he pats my back and gives me and Wilhemina a nod before leaving. My attention is immediately on Wilhemina again and I extend my hand yet again, she grabs my hand as I help her up I place my hand on her lower back, she tenses slightly but melts at my touch. I smile and I'm the only thing holding her up, I smile and ask "are you ok" she nods and says "thank you" I nod and say "of course" I hand her her cane and say while bringing my hand up to stroke some hair away from her face "please know your not a freak" she starts to tear up and says while looking down "y-yes I am my scoliosis" I lift her chin up to look at me with my two fingers and I melt as her tear filled eyes look at me. I look into her beautiful glossy chocolate eyes and without blinking two sad tears fall from both eyes, I move closer to her and wipe her tears with my thumb, I place my hands on her face gently and say "Wilhemina I think your the most beautiful girl in the world" she smiles and asks innocently "really" I push her hair out of her face and say softly "yes" I lean my face closer to hers and she places her free hand on my waist pulling me closer and our noses touch but she stops and I ask softly "what" she looks down and back to my lips, she releases my hip and says "I can't" I get so crushed to hear her say this and I release her face, I straighten my shirt and say "ok" she says "I like you" I smile and say "just not like that" she shakes her head and says "yes exactly like that" I smile and she says "it's just no one has ever helped me bef-" I put my finger on her lips stopping her from talking further and she looks at me confused, I say "let me take you to dinner or something" she smiles and asks "like a date" I nod and say "yeah like a date" she smiles and says "yes" I smile bigger and ask "well are you free now" she nods and I goofily extend my air and she chains her arm with mine. I say as we walk "their not my friends" she looks at me and I add "seriously there assholes if I knew before they were hurting you I would've never spoke to them" she kisses my hand and says "it's ok" I smile and she says "I'm sorry for slapping you" I chuckle and add "I forgive you" I kiss her cheek and she smiles while blushing
