The blaring sun seeps through my closed eyelids, waking me up from my slumber. My phone buzzes rapidly beside me. I rip the damn thig off the charger and watch as the notifications pile up as I read through the messages.
Racoon_Eyes: Are you coming shopping with us, Bakugou? We need to buy ice skates
Soy_Sauce: Yeah. It will be fun everyone else is already down here we just need you!
Rock: Please, Bakugou!
Portable_Charger: I'll charge your phone for you
Me: Shut up! I'm not going with you idiots.
Rock: Don't make us drag you out of your hermit hole cause we sure will
Racoon_Eyes: Yeah. I'll melt down your door and drag you out of there myself!
I growl angrily and throw my phone on the ground. I climb out of bed and change into a black tank top and nave blue ripped jeans with a red and black chequered flannel tied around my waist. I fix up my hair in the mirror and brush my teeth, destroying the bristles past recognition. I pick up my phone and study the damage. A few tiny scratched on the screen protector I have. "Could be worse..." I whisper to myself.
"C'mon Bakugou, we're waiting! Don't make me break down the door," Kirishima shouts from the other side of the door.
"I'm coming, idiot!" I shout so loudly that my lamp even started shaking in fear.
I pull on a pair of red converse and meet the annoying idiot outside my dorm. "Let's get this over with. This is a waste of time." I sigh.
Kirishima grabs my wrist and pulls me along. I stumble for a short while but quickly accustom to Kirishima's speed. He lets go of my wrist and I run after him.
After some time running, we arrive at the sacred train station. Kirishima and I struggle to catch our breath. "So where exactly do you think you can buy a pair of reasonably priced ice skates from?" I ask, knowing that it's nearly impossible. The cheapest ones I found that were decent were around the $330 mark. They can't possibly think they can find affordable ones.
"We're going to the ice skating shop, dummy. But because I already own some, I'm just going to help you guys find cool pairs," Mina cheers.
"Why do you own ice skates anyways?" Kirishima questions.
"well, I used to do lessons but only for a few months. I quit though because it wasn't really my thing. I don't know much though," she explains. Her interesting fighting style must have used some things she learnt while ice skating.
"Yeah? I could do better than you!" I shout while small explosions emit from my palms. I'm becoming cocky again.
"Mina looks at me dead in the eyes. "Well, I don't think so. Can you skate backwards and do a toe loop?"
That caught me off guard. So she can jump, can she. I'd love to prove her wrong and beat the shit out of her but if I do that, then I'll be revealing my big secret. "I'll learn how to!" I shout.
"Hmmm... It took me months to learn how to do it," she admits.
Months!? It took me two weeks to learn how to do that and I was only seven. "Well I'll learn how to do it in a day!"
The train comes to a stop in front of us and we walk on, stopping our bickering. It's very empty so we sit down in the chairs. Nobody really understands how hefty the price of ice skates are. I have my own, obviously. They're black, fading into red vertically upwards with white jewels on the side of them. They were priced at $1000 because they were custom made. Don't even get me started on how hard it was to find someone willing to make them. Normal skates cost around $400. And at a shop? They're going to be so devastated when they realise how pricey they are. I internally laugh.
