I woke up in a strange building, in a strange bed, with no idea what was going on.

I got up out of the cot and walked around until I saw someone.

"Um, hi, could you tell me where I am?" I asked a girl around my age.

"Oh, hey! I'm glad you're awake. You're in the Camp Half-Blood infirmary. You went unconscious after some campers killed that hellhound," the girl said.

Memories flooded back like a waterfall from last night.

"How long was I unconscious for?" I asked curiously.

"Only for a day, you'll be fine, just take it easy for a couple of days. I took care of you, so of course you'll be okay," the girl said confidently.

"You look a little young to be taking care of people," I said.

"I'm Dawn- daughter of Apollo, I know what I'm doing," she said.

"What do you mean you're a daughter of Apollo?" I was confused.

"I'm a demigod, my father is Apollo, and my mom is a mortal," she said casually. "And you're a demigod too."

"W-what?" I asked. "How do you know I'm a demigod? And who's my father?"

"I gave you a tiny bit of nectar and ambrosia-the food of the gods. If you were mortal, you would've died instantly, and you're not an immortal because, well, you don't have any... godly powers I guess, so you're a demigod. But, we don't know who your father is yet, you should get claimed in a couple of days."

I was still confused, but decided to stop asking questions. I could tell I was getting on the girl's nerves.

"Alright, well thanks for taking care of me... Dawn," I said suddenly remembering the girls name.

"No problem. Just go out the door and there should be someone out there for you."

What did she mean by that? I thought as I walked out of the door. The sight I saw made me stumble back a couple of steps and fall to the ground.

Standing right there in front of me was Mr. Brunner, but it wasn't the Mr. Brunner I knew in a wheelchair, it was Mr. Brunner's head, neck, and torso with a white stallion's body.

This was getting a little too creepy for my liking.

"Uhh hi Mr. Brunner?" I squeaked.

"Please call me Chiron, Maya," he said.

"Wait, you're the Chiron who trained Hercules and all those other heroes?"

"I am."

"Cool! I shouted. I can't believe my teacher is like.. a legend!"

"Well, I suppose I am," Chiron said, while laughing. "This is Silena Jackson, she is going to show you around the camp. Silena, this is Maya Hale. See you soon, girls!" And with that, my teacher trotted off.

"Hi, I'm Silena!"

Silena was pretty. She had golden blonde hair with beautiful curls and green eyes. But not just any green eyes. They were sea green emeralds, which strangely, were exactly like mine. I didn't think much of it, it was probably just a weird coincidence.

"I'm Maya. How old are you?" I asked Silena.

"I'm 14. How old are you?"

"I'm 12 but I'm turning 13... tomorrow actually," I said suddenly realizing my birthday was tomorrow.

"Really? Well happy early birthday!"

"Thanks!"

"No problem. These are all the cabins. You'll be staying in cabin number 11, the Hermes cabin, until you get claimed."
