"I don't care if Jason has a leaking sink or not, tell him to come or he's out of the band." Audy angrily hangs up and slams her phone on her office desk. She huffs at the thought of the drummer not being able to make it to the bands first gig in 2 years. Audy walks over to the window in her office overlooking the Melbourne cityscape. She takes a deep breath and straightens her tie to calm down. Being the CEO of Australia's largest magazine company takes a toll on you. This band was Audy's escape from her day job, it meant a lot to her. Even if it meant playing a few songs at the local bar, music was also her passion. Her thoughts are interrupted when the sound of knocking comes from the door.

"Come in," Audy calls out.

"Ms Hidayat, the car is waiting at the front to pick you up," Youdon, her secretary, pokes her head through the door to inform Audy of the car.

"Yes. I'll be down in a minute," Audy nods and waves her out of the office.

Audy began to clear up her desk to head off to her penthouse. She needed a couple of hours to clean up before heading to the bar at 6:30 pm. The excitement began to settle in which motivated Audy to clean up faster. Playing a small gig is exactly the break she needed from this hectic lifestyle of hers.

"Oh pleaseee" Angelina begs Kathleen.

"Sorry, Angie, I can't. I'm so close to finishing my book. I want to stay home tonight" Kathleen pleads with Angelina.

"Oh please, just this once! This band is one of my favourites and they don't perform very often! Make an exception for me tonight?" Angelina clings onto Kathleen's arms in an attempt to sway her into coming to the bar together. Kathleen sighs and gives in, Angelina won't give up that easy.

"Fine, I'll come. But I'm bringing my book and reading at the bar, okay?" Kathleen makes a compromise with Angelina. Angelina jumps with joy.

"Thank you! Hurry and get ready, the gig starts at 7!" Angelina beams with delight and gives Kathleen a big hug of gratitude. Kathleen giggles and walks to her bedroom to change.

'Hmm... What shall I wear?' Kathleen stands in front of her wardrobe and ponders. Suddenly, Kathleen has the perfect outfit in mind. She puts on a loose, black t-shirt and blue denim mom jeans. She slips on her black Converse and takes out her messy bun.

'Should I wear a jacket?' Kathleen is unsure whether she should wear one but she brings her oversized hoodie anyway. She glances at her makeup bag.

'Should I wear some makeup? I don't go out that often because I'm always at home reading or listening to Rex Orange County... A little makeup can't hurt.' Kathleen takes her makeup bag and walks over to a mirror. She combs her brows, puts on a bit of eyeliner and wears some lipgloss. She doesn't usually wear makeup because she's different from the other girls. Kathleen grabs her book from the bed, takes her round glasses, and puts them into her bag. She walks out to see Angelina sitting on the couch, ready to go.

"Wow, who's this pretty lady? Come on, let's go! I don't wanna be late!" Angelina clings onto Kathleen's arm and heads out the door to their shared apartment.

Angelina pushes open the door to the bar and holds it open for Kathleen.

"I'm so excited! Let's sit at the bar. I hate sitting in booths," Angelina pulls Kathleen over to sit on vacant stools at the bar.

"Hey, Angie. Haven't seen you often lately. You here for Arctic Baboons?" The bartender greets Angelina.

"Yeah, of course! Oh, Kavon, meet Kathleen. She's my friend. Dragged her here to watch the gig together" Angelina introduces Kathleen to the bartender named Kavon. He was blonde and a little shorter than the average male but seemed like he was an alright guy.

"Of course you did" Kavon chuckles. "What drinks do you guys want?"

"Just the usual for me. Kathleen just wants a Water on the Rocks" Angelina laughs. Looks like they know each other quite well. Kathleen puts on her glasses and opens up her book, tuning out the noise in the bar. The crowd enlarges as time gets closer to the beginning of the gig. In the corner of her eye, Kathleen sees Angelina shifting in her seat excitedly. Kathleen smiles, seeing how happy her friend is. She returned her focus to the book. Not long after, the crowd hollers loudly and claps.

'Did the band finally arrive?' Kathleen thought. She shrugs and continues to read her book, not having an ounce of interest in the band about to perform.
