"I just don't get why everyone swoons over them as if they are some type of Gods."
"That's because they are Gods, they are perfect in every way, shape, and form."
"No, they're narcissistic, cruel, rich kids that think they can do what ever they want just because they're good looking and live off of their dads money. I hate all four of them."
My best friend Alice scoffed. "You don't even know them."
"And you do? Face it Alice, you're wrapped around their fingers just like every other clueless girl in this school is, I swear I'm the only sane one here."
"That is not true I-"
She was cut off by the front doors suddenly opening, I let out a loud groan when I saw that the devil spawns themselves walked in. All the students of Oakmont high gushed in awe and excitement, except for me. Jaylen DelRosario, Andre Pangilinan, Evan Monteleone, and Matthew Reyes entered the school as everyone fawned over them.
"Hey Matty that was an amazing goal you made last night!"
"Andre, are you gonna be practicing your guitar during lunch again, can we listen please?'
'Evan I heard you almost got arrested last night for vandalism, man you got to tell me how you pulled that off!"
"Jaylen can you father my children!?"
I grew more and more disgusted as I heard girls practically throwing themselves at them and guys wanting to at least have a second to exchange words with them, it was pathetic. Everyone grew silent as they approached me, even I was curious at what they had to say. "Move," Jaylen demanding, not even looking at me but glancing at his phone instead.
"Excuse me?" I was offended at the fact that he thought I was like all his other followers and that I would cower under his command.
Jaylen looked up and glared at me, obviously surprised that someone talked back to him. "You're in front of my locker." He put his phone away and crossed his toned arms in front of his chest. "Move."
"Why don't you make me?" I challenged, meeting his glare with one of my own. In the corner of my eye I saw Alice motioning at me to back away, but I payed no attention to her.
By then a large circle surrounded the five of us, everyone whispering in shock. Matthew and Evan held amused expressions, Andre had a large smirk evident on his face, and Jaylen's jaw was clenched with anger.
"Alright then," Jaylen responded coldly. "Matt did you finish your soda?" His eyes never leaving mine as he asked.
Matt's face grew into a mischievous smile. "No, here you go." He handed Jaylen a Pepsi can and before I realized what was going on, Jaylen poured the remaining substance on my head.
I gasped as the cold liquid went through my shirt, my face was most likely red over the anger and embarrassment. I heard the laughter of the surrounding students and the sounds of phone cameras snapping, looking up I saw Matt and Evan snickering along, but Andre was no where to be seen.
A hard shove sent me tripping sideways, I balanced myself before I could suffer even more embarrassment and saw that Jaylen was in the spot where I was standing earlier, opening his locker door. I was shaking with fury, and proceed to take a few steps towards him before I was slammed against the lockers. "I went easy on you today, but you better know what to expected next time you talk back to me." Jaylen's face was inches away from mine, and I saw nothing but anger clouding his hazel eyes. He backed away and I slumped against the cold metal. "People like you need to know their place, scholarship student." He spat the last words before walking away.
The other two followed behind him, and the crowd dispersed, with lingering whispers. Alice rushed to my side. "Oh my god, Nia are you alright? You were right they are jerks, look what they did to your shirt, I swear when I get my hands on them I will..."
Alice's voice trailed off as I stop paying attention because nothing else mattered, other than the fact that I have never hated anyone as much as I hate Jaylen DelRosario.
