One Shot

Emmy’s PoV:

X-Factor has been going great for the girls and I. We had a day off so we decided to hang out with Niall and his new bandmates. The boys told us to meet them in their room and that they had the whole day planned out.

The alarm clock went off and we each shuffled out of bed and one by one got showered and dressed. We weren’t sure what the boys had planned so we all dressed casual. Kelsey with a pair of blue jeans, a simple tee shirt that said “I Love Australian Boys”, and a pair of blue converse. Jenna was wearing a pair of light skinny jeans and a floral flowy shirt. I was wearing skinny jeans and a pretty purple top. After we are all showered and dressed we walk down the hall to the boys’ room.

“Hey girls!” Niall shouts as he opens the door.

“Hey Niall” I say hugging him and walking into the room.

The other girls hug him and walk in also. When we walk in we see the rest of the boys pushing the furniture out of the way.

“What is going on here?” Kelsey asks Harry.

“We are going to play games and have pizza” Louis says as he lays out the game Twister.

“Twister?” Jenna says a little creeped out.

“What’s the matter Jenna, scared I will win?” Harry says as he grabs the wheel and spins it.  

“No, I am just really clumsy.” She says.

“Right foot on blue” Zayn shouts, watching as the spinner stops.

Niall walks over to the mat and puts his right foot on blue. We play a few more rounds before things become more complicated and, well, awkward.

“Left hand on red” I say as the spinner stops.

“Oh shit!” Harry says as he goes to put his hand down. He suddenly loses his balance and in turn falls. He, being intertwined with everyone, takes us all down with him.  We all wind up on top of one another.  I look down to see Zayn’s face just inches from mine.  He smiles.  

“Uh, Liam, do you mind getting off of me?” I hear Jenna say and we all laugh a little.  It takes a while but eventually we untangle ourselves from one another.

“Who's the loser now Harry?” Jenna says jokingly as she gets up.

“Shut up, I was just unlucky.  Well depending how you look at it I was very lucky.” He says looking over at Kelsey. She rolls her eyes and looks at the ground.

“Ew, you didn’t do that on purpose did you?” I shout at him.  

“No of course not!” He responds.  By the look on his face it seems honest enough.  

“Okay well that was fun but do you guys want to eat now?” He asks, pointing at the pizza boxes on the table.  “Before the pizza gets cold?” He adds, sassily.  

We all get up and walk towards the pizza. We each take what we want and find seats wherever we can. I sit on the floor and Zayn comes over and sits next to me. He kisses me and soon we start a big circle. You can tell everyone was hungry based on how quiet the room had gotten. When we had all finished the boys attempted to set up the wii to the telly. The boys being boys had no clue what they were doing so the girls had to step in. After the wii was connected and the tv was on we looked for a game to play.

“Just dance” The girls and I shout.

The boys all groan but they can’t say no to us. we put in just dance and set it up. I look over at Kelsey and Jenna and they are whispering to one another.

“What are you two talking about?” I ask walking over to them.

“You and Zayn should do a duet” They say in unison.

“Excuse me?” I question.

“Thats not a bad idea” Zayn says coming up and grabbing me from behind.

We get set up with remotes and pick out the perfect song, The Time of My Life by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes. The music begins and we know thats our cue. Everyone is watching us now but I block them out and just think of Zayn by my side. We continue dancing and before I know it I am being spun around and swept off my feet.

“Wow Zayn you are a great dancer” I say as we finish.

We wait a second as the game tallies up our score. Zayn with three and a half stars and me with four.

“Well you seem to be the better dancer babe” Zayn says as he pulls me close. We pass our remotes off to Jenna and Liam who decide to do one together.

We all take turns dancing and having fun. Before we know it, the night is over.

“I’m exhausted. I am going back to the room” I say looking to Zayn.

“Here let me walk you” He offers.

“No need to lover boy. Kelsey and I are going to go back too” Jenna explains.

We all say our goodbyes to the boys before walking back to our room.

“That was fun” Kelsey says.

“Yeah it looked like you and Harry are getting pretty cozy” I say.

“Shut Up!” She yells as she hits me in the arm.

“What it was just an observation” I laugh.

We all get changed and ready  for bed. The next morning we have group rehearsals so we all wake up and put on sweats and tee shirts. On group rehearsal days we usually just dress down because it doesn’t matter. With our messy buns we all walk to an empty room in the studio. We rehearse for a while before getting hungry. In our lazy state we decide to just order chinese and go back to the room to watch movies and just hang out just as us girls. Time goes by when suddenly we all get a text at the same time.
