freddie grabbed the door handle and closed it behind him with a simple "goodbye", once he stepped out he didn't expect to see what he just saw, sam. sam was sitting, back against the wall, head tucked into her knees.

he didn't know what to do in this situation, "sam?"

she looked up at him, eyes red, water teaming down her face, freddie's heart dropped. he knew something was wrong but he'd never seen sam cry, and never thought he actually would.

"sam" he said with pity in his voice,
"i don't want you pity. i don't want your help"
freddie got on his knees in front of her, "what happened?"

she knew she was going to regret this, she just wanted to feel cared for, for once. her mind and body wanted the interaction yet she held back. she didn't deserve anyone, didn't deserve friends, "p-please leave"

freddie stood up,
as sam thought he left "come on" she lifted her head once again, he was holding his hand out: she looked at him in disbelief, "he stayed" running through her mind as she took his hand standing up with him, "come on it's like january, it's freezing in these halls", he explained smiling at her as pulling her to his apartment, sam was confused on why she didn't hesitate to go, she could have just went home as she thought of the word "home", nevermind.

she was thinking on how she'd have to go home soon before this gets worse,

sams pov
i look at him as he just closed his door, i'm just standing in the hallway not knowing what to do when he says "do you want anything?",
"n-no i'm fine" i need to stop stumbling over my words and get over myself, "my mom will probably be home soon so she'll overreact about you being here, then just question the life out of you" he chuckled , "let's just go to my room"

i follow him to his room when i notice a massive change to it, "well it's obviously different from when i was 14, i guess i did grow up" i looked around seeing a small sofa on the opposite wall from his bed, "take a seat, ill go get you some water?"
"yeah sure, thanks" i watch him leave the room, he's never been like this before, if we was normally in the same room together for this long one of us would be dead.

freddie's pov
i don't know what i'm doing, we normally just fight, while i'm having a mini panic attack in the kitchen she could be doing anything, i quickly grab the bottles off water and go back to my room. i open the door then give her a small smile "here" i gave her the bottle. she thanked me as i went to sit on my bed, this is the quietest i've seen her in awhile, sam spoke up "i'll have to go later, he'll want me home on time." i knew exactly who she was talking about, her mother actually stuck to a guy >johnson adams<

sams always hated him since he used to come over and "help her mom with things", he never liked sam either, you could say they never exactly got along. "what time do you need to go back by?"  she looked at her phone to check the time i'm guessing

"two hours or so"

i got an idea, sam has stuff on her mind so why don't we just watch a movie, "come to the lounge, we'll watch a movie" i watched as she nodded and got up, " i'll be a few minutes, just wait on the sofa" she nodded yet again and walked out.

i grabbed a few blankets since it was cold in the lounge, i walked out to see her picking a movie
"can we watch this?"
i don't even know what she picked but honestly i could care less, i just wanted her to be okay, "yeah, sure" i handed her a blanket, that's when i extended my arm and she flinched, it was strange, i've never seen this action from her. i decided to let it go and sit on the couch,

i was watching the movie when i felt something on my shoulder, i looked down to see a small girl asleep, i had a small smile and without even realising it i laid her head on my lap; tired myself i started yawning, my eyes slowly closing till i drift away to sleep.

marissa's pov
i went to unlock the door when i realised it was already open, i was about to shout freddie for him to explain when i saw him laying on the sofa, with a girl lightly gripping his waist, until i realised who she was i tried not to scream in excitement, i knew this day would come, I'm so happy for him, i went to grab a blanket of the arm of the sofa then covered the teenagers up and left them to sleep peacefully.

i grabbed my phone and made sure to call sams mother, i let her know that she'd be staying the night and she's fine over here, pam said it was fine just to let her know to call in the morning.
i looked over at the two one more time
"yeah, thank you pam, i'll let her know for you"
