Hide and Seek

It had been exactly four days since the date and Tobraya was horrified. 'Why did this have to happen to me?' She thought. 'Me...of all people..'  she was standing at her locker talking to Topanga about Shawn for the millionth time today. "I mean why him?! Of all boys it had to be the heartbreaker.." Tobraya ranted.

"Hey calm down..Shawn will find the right one eventually and he won't have to go from girl to girl..who knows maybe you could be the one to change him." Topanga said with a smirk. Just then Cory and Shawn walked up to the two girls causing Tobraya instantly make a beeline for the bathroom.

"Hey is it just me or is Tobraya acting weird.." Cory asked looking in the direction she ran in. "She's going through some things..give her some time." Topanga explained. Shawn was quiet during the conversation the whole time he stared down at his feet knowing exactly why she was acting weird.

"I'm gonna go make out with a girl or something.." Shawn said and walked away. Topanga and Cory stood with the same knowing look on their faces. Whatever was bothering Tobraya was clearly affecting Shawn and this either meant one of two things.

1. Shawn was going to search for Tobraya and try to talk with her.

2. Tobraya would continue to avoid Shawn for another week until she decided to hear him out.

Shawn stood outside the women's bathroom waiting for Tobraya to come out. It took a good two minutes but eventually she made it out. As soon as Tobraya stepped out of the bathroom she was pulled to the side by Shawn. "Why are you avoiding me?" He asked looking down at her.
She was silent and hesitant to speak. "It was the kiss wasnt it.." Shawn asked though it sound more like a knowing statement.

His head hung low as the two stood silently. "I don't think we should go out on Friday anymore.." Tobraya finally said. Her eyes avoided his as she chewed her bottom lip. "Shawn I had fun but we're friends and that's all we'll ever be..nothing more..nothing less" and with that the bell brand signaling first period.

They interned the room to find Cory and Topanga already in their seats. Shawn took his seat behind Cory. Tobraya asked to switch with Topanga for the day to which she hesitantly agreed. Mr. Feeny entered the room after another minute or two and began speaking.

"Alright class..today we're going to be going a little debate..a debate about love and it's importance. Should anyone like to start us off?" Mr. Feeny said. For a moment nobody said or did anything but then Topanga raised her hand.

"Yes miss Lawrence."

"Love is a very precious thing and I feel that everyone should have a chance at feeling it." She said. "Very good start. Would anyone like to counter or add to this statement?" Mr. Feeny asked.

Tobraya raised her hand and began to speak. "Love is something that should be shared between people when the feeling is mutual..it's a very hard emotion to have and it's often confusing..I feel that if a person really wants to feel love..then they wouldn't toy with so many peoples emotions before they actually find it.." She said.

From there Shawn spoke up. "Some people make mistakes but it shouldn't interfere with their love lives. When a person really feels that they love someone then they would be willing to drop everything for that person.." he said.

Tobraya then spoke again. "Well it's not only about the love that people have for each other it's also about the trust and communication..if you can't be trusted how can you be so sure the the other person wants to love you?"

Once again it was Shawn's turn to speak. "The trust may be broken but the communication is still strong..if you aren't willing to communicate then how can you build the trust factor between you and that someone so that he or she could be trusted.."

Tobraya was beginning to get fed up with this conversation but kept pushing to prove a point. "The trust wouldn't have been broken if the person had just waited in the first place..its not always about how much experience you have when it comes to love..sometimes it's good to experience it with the person you want to spend your life with.."

Shawn knew she was targeting him by this time but he wasnt offended as he was targeting her as well. "And how can you know that it's the right person you want to spend you life with if that person won't give you a chance to at least prove it"

Tobraya was at her limit by now. "MAYBE BECAUSE THAT PERSON HAS PROBLEMS OF THEIR OWN THAT INTERFERES WITH THEIR LOVE LIFE SOMETIMES ALL YOU NEED IS TIME!!" Tobrayayelled standingfrom her seat. Her fists were balledupso tight that it created fingernail Mark's on her palms. "....Just give that person a little time and maybe...just maybe they might be willing to give it a try..the whole crazy love thing.." she said taking her seat.

Mr. Feeny fiddled with the pencil in his hand as he looked between the two teens. They both had a look anger, confusion, and sadness on their faces. "I can see that this debate got a little more personal than expected.." he said looking down. "Alright class your homework for today is an essay on what love means to you..I want 2000 words by next Monday." He said just as the bell rung.

Tobraya took her time to grab her things Shawn on the other hand tried to hurry. "Mister Hunter...Miss Tomlinson..please stay behind for a little." Mr. Feeny ordered while everyone else left the classroom.  He stood silently looking between the tow teen's once more.

"That debate seemed to hit home for you two..I sense some tension as well." He said after sitting in silence for a moment. "You two seem to know an awful lot about love so here's what I'm going to do." He started. "I'm going to give you two a different assignment. I want you to spend the weekend as a couple..you will have to learn to trust and communicate with each other..on the last day of your relationship I want you to write me a 1000 word essay about what it means to have a relationship without trust and communication.." Mr. Feeny said. He then gave a quick nod and left the two along in the classroom.

Shawn and Tobraya looked at each other with an annoyed expression "this is all your fault.." Tobraya said angrily. Shawn let out an aggravated sigh and finished packing his things. He then left the classroom silently leaving Tobraya alone to gather her thoughts. A small sigh escaped her lips as she then slowly but surely left the classroom herself.

Hey I haven't posted In a while but to make up for it i have two chapters coming out today and maybe even three if I'm feeling it. I'm really sorry I've just been a bit busy but I'm back now. Also tell me what you all think of my new cover for this book. I made it myself lols anyway be watching out for those two maybe three chapters.
