The Royal Guards a seperate branch of the Armed Forces. They are technically under the Army but they operate outside it's jurisdiction. The Royal Guards has access to most of the heavy and major assets of all of the service branches.
The Royal Guards are also divided into three major sub groups. The Palace Guards are in charge in the overall security of the Palace Grounds and other properties of the Royal Court. The second and the most prominent are the King's Guard, their job is to provide close security for the King and members of the Royal family. They also have a dedicated elite operator companies that directly receive orders from the King himself. The third one is the Sovereign Guards/Vanguards, the largest of the three, they are responsible for the overall security of the Royal family when they are out of the Palace, the distant members of the Royal Family are also under their protection and the Dukes and their respective Houses.
