Never Knew I Needed (IM.NAYEON FF)

(Y/N's POV)

I have already settled in and now currently inside the emergency ward at 9pm. Pretty good.
I just got paged in for an emergency. A boy, 10 years old, looking really bloated and yellowish have been sent here. Dang, his appendix ain't doing fine at all. This kid is gonna have his first surgery and to which is Appendectomy.

"Doc?"

"Call in for the operating room. Taeyang-ssi."

Without wasting more time, I informed the kid's parents that he is suffering from his appendix and they said of course the usual, do everything to save him. I, of course decided to inform them about the rest of the procedures.

Appendectomy is which defined as operation for the removal of appendix. In which where the said organ have said to be ruptured or damaged inside causing complications in the human's digestive tract. As to my observations, the boy, Daehan, have been enduring it for about four days now. He was sent in on a wheelchair. I put on a set of scrub suit and started along with the operation. Here it goes.

2 hours in and I also predicted that his stomach is also damaged due to the excessive toxins that have produced by the appendix. I looked over at the nurses who are with me and they did have a sad look in their eyes. Poor kid but we have to stitch up those laceration marks on you. This will take longer than expected.

A few hours from that...

Everything is successful. I already updated Daehan's parents about his condition. Even without sleeping, they did bowed down thanking me countless of times.

"Ma'am and Sir. You don't have to do it. It is my duty to help your son." I said calmly and the boy's father shook my hand and soon they have went to Daehan's room where he is admitted. I headed back to my office and checked my watched. 6:37 am. Totally need to eat out. I was about to call for Alvin but then someone came in. Great.

"What is it?" I said trying to sound not annoyed but when I saw him came in with my favorite breakfast meal. I smirked. This guy.

"No greetings from your one and only hyung, Y/N?" He put the brown paper bag on my table and I went in to give him a bro hug. Cheesy but we still do that.

"Was about to call Al but looks like someone did it already. Kamsamnida." I went back to my chair and dig in. I'm not waiting no more.

He let me have my breakfast and him settling down just in front of me. Shaking his head not believing that I am just eating unappetizingly. A few minutes in and I already finished my meal then I started to speak.

"So, anything you want to say why you have suddenly visited me, hyung?" I started. Cleaning up my table and wiping my lips with my handkerchief. He was startled and accidentally had his phone flying out of his hand. I just saw him smiling. What the?

"I got-.... Wait, have you heard anything from the news?" He said. He actually lowered his gaze at me to my table in which it was spotless clean. He looked at me with disgust. Too much?

He then sat back up and acted like I didn't noticed it but I just shrugged it off as well.

"Uhh, none. I was busy at the Institute. Haven't had a chance to watch or read anything."

"Since New Year's?"

"Yeah. I was actually the only one available that time so the old folks went to their families. No biggie, hyung. " He removed his face mask that I think he forgot to remove earlier revealing his face. There goes the superstar.
