Life on Earth is normal as can be; the same atmosphere, the same people, the same old life. The child goes to school, everyone comes back from their exhausting days and makes dinner for the family. The child goes upstairs to their room to eat while playing video games and falls asleep. It was the same every day, 24-7, day in and day out. But on March 20 2020, it all changed for a mid-twenties girl named Sarah Wallace, a teacher major in University. At the start, it was just a normal day, studying for a test the day before, before it went downhill.

*Knock Knock*, Sarah exhales sharply from her nose, her nose scrunching in annoyance from the intrusion from her studying. She pushes herself from the table and walks over to the door, looking through the peephole on her door and winces, her hand going through her black pixie cut hair. "Sarah! Do you want to go to Johnathan's party tonight? He invited me and told me that I can bring a plus one." She reluctantly opens the door and looks at the girl with her eyebrow raised, her index finger and thumb pinching the bridge of her nose, her hoop nose-ring pressing against them. Sarah thinks, 'Of course he would invite you Amanda, you're the Student Union's President after all. He probably picked you so that all the other students can see you and feel jealous to be in your shoes.' She sighs and replies, "I'll go under one condition. I'm not going to be your lab rat to pretty up." She says sternly, her other hand's pointer finger waves. Amanda smiles, ecstatic, before her hands go to her hips, serious. "Alright, but no pranks of any kind, Sarah. Fred is going to be there and..." Amanda just fades to a background noise as Sarah thinks back to when Johnathan and the rest of the football team bullied the Freshman's. She immediately starts thinking of a plan to humiliate the infamous jocks so that the "Nerds" and "Geeks" alike can finally have their time to shine. Anyone who actually did work on the campus was considered the nerds and geeks, and the ones who got drunk and partied all night were the jocks and preppies. Sarah stared into space, looking at her room, the brown dresser with black circular handles sits east of the door, adjacent to the dresser, was her reading and studying nook, the white table with her pencils and binder laid, waiting to be used. The far right corner was her Double bed, adorned with navy blue fluffy pillow cover and blanket. 'Alright, what should I use...it's a pretty big party, but I'll figure out the layout, I always do.' "SARAH, are you listening to me?" Amanda's voice snaps her out of her thoughts abruptly. Sarah looks up, inhaling sharply, "Sorry, what did you say?"

Amanda growls, upset. "Don't screw this up for me, Sarah. I mean it. Fred for the first time since Freshman year is finally noticing me, so I am begging you. DO NOT PULL ANY PRANKS!" Sarah winces at her tone and sighs, her plans for the party aborted. She never goes against her begging. "Fine, I promise I won't do any pranks at the party, alright?" Sarah rolls her eyes and crosses her arms. "Thank you, Sarah! Well, I have to go, the cafeteria is finally open for dinner. See you tonight at the party! Bye!" Amanda squeals and runs down the hall towards the cafeteria. "Bye Manda Panda!" Sarah yells down the hall and shuts the door, going back to her studying nook, sighing. "The hell am I going to do with her?"

The next few hours, when Sarah finished and was awaiting the results of her test, she started getting ready for the party. Sarah looked through her wardrobe, chewing the inside of her lip in thought for what to wear. "Too flashy, too much skin, too...homeless-like, Ah! That works, not too much skin and great for making myself, a "nerd" stand out!" She unhooks a black crop top sweater with the shoulders and elbows free, the sleeves and hoodie slumping in the air. She also unhooks the knee length black skirt with a silver chain dangling from the belt loop. "You owe me, Amanda. The only reason I'm going to this lame-ass party is because you want a sober person to be your drinking buddy..." She whispers to herself under her breath.

As Sarah stood at the door of Johnathan's Sorority house, she started hearing thunder from above. Sarah looked up at the sky and scoffed in annoyance. "Even the gods don't approve of me going to this stupid party." She takes out her phone from her pocket, texting Amanda a direct and to the point message, "Here". Sarah takes a seat on the driveway stairs and looks over the Sorority house, the pungent puke green and yellow banner with the letters AO, "Alpha Ohio" waving weakly against the front of the house, the three story house filled to the brim with students drinking like there is no tomorrow. "Sarah, you actually came!" I hear Amanda cry out from a nearby parked car. Waving nonchalantly, Sarah peels herself from the stairs and meets Amanda at the front door. "Wow, I don't think I wouldn't have even needed to pretty you up, Sarah! You look amazing!" Amanda looks Sarah over, smiling genuinely, causing for Sarah to blush, having a sheepish smile as she starts to slightly tug her crop top down a notch, covering her belly button. Amanda runs a hand through her medium length ginger hair and raps at the door, gulping and smiling, nervous.

Just as Sarah predicted, as soon as Amanda's eyes set on Fred, Amanda sashayed over to him, her hips swaying in tandem. She flipped her hair back and started talking to him, giggling and ogling at basically everything he said. Sarah just sat down at a table and stared, sighing as her idiot of a friend continued to waste her life away, taking a sip of her Pepsi. "Hey, you're Amanda's friend, Sarah, right?" She looks up and sees Eric, the quarterback of the football team, his tan slightly flushed from the alcohol. Sarah smiles, strained and gets up, extending her hand to shake, before Eric grabs her hand and pulls her close, giving her a big bear hug, hearing a subtle crack, she lets out a pained grunt and winces. "Y-Yeah, I'm her." He grins and burps, letting her go and looking her over. "Name's Eric, the hot one." Eric smirks and winks drunkenly, slightly stumbling over his feet. "Charming..." Sarah scoffs under her breath and takes another sip of her Pepsi, her hand on her hip, clearly not impressed. "Anyway, how are you liking the party? It looks like your friend is liking it, she's hitting it off with Johnathan and Fred." Eric nods in the direction of Amanda, who's stumbling and slurring her words drunkenly, while Fred and Johnathan are talking away and rolling their eyes, obviously getting bored of Amanda's behaviour. "I'm sorry, Eric, I'd really love to keep talking with you," Sarah fake smiles and starts to walk towards Amanda, when Eric stops her. "Here, call me babe." He puts a piece of paper with a number on it into her hand. "Thanks." She grimaces and puts the paper into her skirt pocket, walking up to Amanda's stumbling form. "Hey, Amanda, it's time to go back to the dorms, you need water and aspirin. Come on Manda Panda." Sarah gently pulls her away from Johnathan and Fred, which caused them both to mouth a desperate 'Thank you'. She nods and leads her out of the Sorority house, walking through the town as the sky boomed.

As the pair walked, Sarah suddenly froze, her hair standing on the ends. She was going to be STRUCK BY LIGHTNING! "Run, Amanda!" Sarah pushes Amanda away from her, making Amanda plop and fall on the pavement, before Sarah runs towards a nearby house, screaming. "Sarah!" Is the last voice Sarah hears before she hears a *CRASH, BOOM*, and she falls unconscious.
