it was quite a deadly piercing silence throughout the palace
if you listened closely you could hear the hard shoes of the maids walking down the hall
attending to their morning duties or the soft pitter patter of a pair of twin dogs
their species unknown and their shining black and white coats sparkling in the sunlight making them almost look as godly as their owners they were on their way
to cause mischief their long legs and lean body's making them looking like they were floating
above the clear marble floors their pointy ears swaying in the cool breeze and their distorted eye's looking around
the corridor smelling an interesting new scent one of lavender and wildflowers
topped with sweet smelling perfume making the dogs glide over to the cracked door
sticking their heads in seeing a young girl toppled over snuggling in the warm puffed up sheets
the dogs carefully approaching the girl she was no threat the guard dogs
would've known and they would've torn her to shreds no matter her young appearance
they smelled her hand their cold noses making the young woman shudder
slowly opening her eyes the dogs froze as they looked into her eye's
they couldn't help but appreciate her beauty her eyes in the sunlight looked like warm pools of honey they melted into golden rays circling an eclipse
like the hot sun that was shinning down on their backsides and a soft whisper of love in their ears feeling as if they were home
Something clicked in the canines mind this was their one and true master

she babied them again kissing the top of their heads "you're both so pretty I wish I was pretty too"
she pouted spoiling the dogs in her touch the dogs looked up frowning their brows ruffing at the girl saying in their own way she was
for they were not the average dog they were far smarter than that or some humans
the woman laughed rubbing both of the dogs heads soothingly "okay okay I guess I am okay looking"
she smiled a full simile as the dogs lazily laid their head on her lap staring up at the woman
and the woman too admired the dogs seeing as they we're completely opposite
one dog's coat was full black and so were it's eyes that would've scared anyone else but (y/n)
the others coat was the purest of white and so were it's eyes staring back at her they looked so majestic and beautiful
"I've never seen them so friendly with a stranger" (y/n) eyes shot up scared at the new voice
"or anyone matter of fact" it was an older gentleman dressed on clothes of cotton
his beard was long and grey and his eyes were soft and blue that's what stood out about him the most
his soft baby blue eye's "are you their owner ?" (y/n) questioned sad to let the dogs go
"I am but they don't have a peculiar liking to me" the man chuckled keeping his distance
"why is that ?" (y/n) spoke patting the heads of the dogs as she spoke "we don't keep them here for pleasure we keep them here for breeding and hunting"
(y/n) frowned she knew it was completely normal in this world and in her's but she never found a liking
For using animals to kill others "poor puppies" (y/n) pouted coddling the dogs
the man chuckled deeply "I've heard about the warm hearted woman that had been staying in my palace"
