I hope you all enjoy this book! Love you all! This summer was supposed to be the best summer of my life. But it just turned out to be the worst. It started a month ago to be precise. My family had just moved back to California.
Jordan stood next to my father as he signed the papers to the house. It was a large Victorian mansion. It was down the road from my aunt Rosemary, and uncle Jackson. I sat there leaned against the car. My mother a few feet away on a phone call.
I couldn't believe we moved into his large house. My father claiming uncle Jackson was helping pay for the house. My whole life I lived in a small town in Minnesota. Where the winters were rough, and the summers were difficult. Although my family lived here, it didn't make sense to move here.
I was in my second year of college when they decided they wanted to move. Jordan was all for the move. He's always been the golden child in the family. No matter how bad he was, they all loved him.
"It's beautiful isn't it?" My father asks, wrapping his arm around my shoulder. He tugs me into his side reluctantly. I sighed pulling the ear buds out of my ear.
"I still don't see the logic of moving here," I comment bitterly. My father huffs rolling his eyes dramatically. It was a habit he picked up off my mother.
"I'm so happy we moved!" my little brother, Ryker cheers. He pulls out his phone and starts to record the view of the house. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he was live-streaming. He was a famous TikToker, who was trying to build his Instagram up.
Despite being an adult he acted like a teenager. He was born a year later than Jordan and I. He was lucky to have survived the C-Section. The umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck.
"Oh honey, just try it! I'm sure you'll come to love this place!" my mother said whilst hanging up her call. She comes over pulling me into a hug. My father steps away to talk to the movers.
Mom leans down and kisses my cheek, "welcome home."
It was a only a month before everything started to go down hill. My parents were too busy starting up their business. My mother wanted to start an academy. Whilst my father was too busy trying to make my mother's dreams come true. I didn't understand how they could afford it.
Unless my father lied about Jackson helping them pay for the house. My uncle was a billionaire, who owned Coldwell Industries. Along with my other uncle Garret, they shared the company.
"How are you liking your new college? Aunt Natalia asks. We were currently having a dinner party. It was the official house warming party. Of course, since our family had no friends. It was only family who was invited.
