Reciprocated Love

"Hey Marg, you already done with your assignment?" Chel asked as she sat beside me.

Marg nodded in response, "Have you seen Gelo?"

"U-uhm.. yes.. but he's with someone.." Chel said while smiling awkwardly. I tilted my head and raised my left eyebrow,

"A girl?" I asked, she sighed deeply and answered "Yes."

I was angry and jealous about the thought of Gelo being with someone else, I was about to stand up and find where the hell they were but suddenly I was surprised on what I saw..

They were in the hallway not far away from where I was but I can see them clearly,

The girl kissed her in his cheek.. and he did nothing. He just let her kiss him.

"Are you okay, Marg?" Chel asked and grabbed my hand.

I didn't answered her. I just suddenly felt a tear escaped from my eyes.

"Come on, Marg. You've been chasing Gelo for almost 5 years and he didn't reciprocated your love."

"What should I do?" I asked while I covered my face with my hands, stopping my tears from falling.

"It's your choice, Marg." She said and patted my back to comfort me.

I've had enough. Gelo was my ultimate crush since we were in 7th grade but until now he didn't gave me signs that he also likes me. I always showed my feelings and affection to him but he always ignored me. He always pushed me whenever I try to hug or kiss him.

I'm always at his side yet he still looked for someone else.

I should put an end to this foolish feelings of mine. No matter what I do, he will never notice me.

I should let go of this feelings and move on.

I will never disturb him again. Yes, that's the right thing to do.

Weeks had passed and Gelo started noticing that Marg isn't disturbing him anymore. Everytime they crossed paths, he expected her to talk to him but she didn't.. she just walked and ignored him.

Furious, he went straight to Chel to ask what is going on.

"She's moving on" she said as she ate her food.

"Who? From me?" Gelo asked while pointing at himself. Chel looked at him and nodded.

He bite his lips and put his hands on his forehead. Chel crossed her arms and raised her left eyebrow,

"You know, if you don't like Marg then stop confusing her. She chased you for almost 5 years yet you always ignored her feelings. Now that she is moving on, you're looking for her? Do you like her or not?!"she exclaimed. Marg is her bestfriend and she also feel sad whenever she sees Marg heartbroken over Gelo.

"I do.." he said almost a whisper.

Chel's eyes widened, "What?"

"I.." he deeply sighed, "I like her."

"How? We clearly saw you were with someone and you never protested when she kissed you!"

"K-kissed me?" He asked in a confuse tone. He then remembered the day before Marg started to ignore him.

"Oh damn it." I bite my lips and closed my eyes in furious. "That was my sister, you fools."

"Sister?"

"Yes, she visited me here a week after she came from Australia. Oh damn Marg, where are you?!"

He didn't wait Chel to speak, he walked away to find Marg but she is nowhere to be seen.

Minutes passed, he sat on a bench nearby and opened his phone. He stared at his locksreen,

He also likes her, but Marg was unaware of it.

He cares for her, but he never showed it.

He also wants to hug and kiss her, but he always hold it back.

He was just shy.

But he never wanted to lose her.

Gelo opened his message app and searched for Marg's name. He then started to write but he always ended up erasing it.

Before he knew it, he was already crying. A tear dropped on his phone, he wiped it but into his shock, he clicked the sent button accidentally.

I like you.

"Oh freaking hell.. I--" before he could finish his sentence, he saw Marg laughing with another guy.

Marg's phone vibrated and her eyes widened when she saw the message. It was from Gelo.

Gelo: I like you.

She remembered the incident a while ago where Gelo and Chel was talking. She was hiding behind the door when she realized what they were talking about.

"Are you okay?" Dan asked, he's her partner in science and they were talking about our activity this week.

"Yes" she chuckled.

A smile formed in her lips. 'He likes me too..'

Before she knew, Gelo was already infront of them. She was confused a bit but then she blushed madly when she understood what is happening..

Gelo was staring hard on Dan with mine written all over his face.
