Prologue
In the year 2075, the third world war ended, and from the ashes, a cure for cancer was found.
Almost funny how it went, since the scientists bemoaned that while the answer had taken the better part of a century to uncover, it'd be so simple. They created a mutation to cure the mutation- and a vaccine was immediately implemented to anyone at risk.
But there was unforeseen side effect, a risk or precaution that no-one could have predicted.
A cross-over between science and religion- one that neither could explain.
People believed that humans would die out after the War, but here we are a century later with something far worse on our hands than radiation or another war. A disease worse than cancer that spread with a speed equally as fast, if not faster, than the Black Death.
What's worse? It's in the water.
A century later, we've finally managed to extract it from the supply, but the damage's already been done.
The damage that's killing us all.
